Gameday! 730pm EST start on NHLN or every cable channel in Canada. This is really a matchup of 2 different types of teams. US is faster, more finesse, but CAN is more physical, should be a great game. US has the edge in goal, but they MUST stay disciplined. The other difference is that Canada has certainly been more battle tested, and sometimes having that extra game is helpful. Lets defend our turf and our title boys! U S A! U S A!

Canada has had shitty goaltending so far, has come out nervous in almost every game.
The defense has been solid, and they tend to gaim momentum as the game goes one (Sweden game excepted, that one was just weird).
Canada is good when they can roll 4 crushing lines. Kassian back helps out a lot, but the injuries have not helped.


I expect (hope) that this game will be won in the trenches, b/c I don't want to run and gun with them (there's a switch from years past!)
Schenn and Johansen have really stepped up offensively in the tourney so far, though.

blown icing call, goalie didn't play it (as it was icing, the linesman's arm was up).
it wasn't called, and the Russians end up alone infront of the net with the puck.

that sucks. I hope to hell the game isn't decided by this. 2-0 now.

The post-game celebration after defeating the Canadians was a little over the top for me (lots of barking from the bench during the shootout as well).
