Certainly seem to be a number of good teams in Texas this year. but we can't play them all tomorrow night! Polo Ponies have to suffice.

With 11 FBS schools in the state, (Houston, Rice, UTSA, Texas State, UTEP, NTSU, SMU, TCU, Baylor, A&M and Texas) someone has to be good. The worst appear to be my Miners, the rusty cows and the mean green.

Scuttlebutt in the Texas HS ranks is that Chad Morris will be a recruiting nightmare for some of the higher profile schools in years to come. We'll see. They still have the stigma left from the death penalty days.

I doubt that many prospective recruits and their peeps will take much account of that ancient history when deciding where to play. Ponies have a bright future -- beginning day after tomorrow!

That's kind of ridiculous when everybody knows that Texas' one true team is from Trinity College.

Here they are! They play in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) in NCAA's Divivision III. Oddly enough, Trinity is a member of this four-team football conference.

Last game I went to when I was a student at UH was against UT in the Astrodome. Good guys got housed. Sure wish we could play them this year, while they're down.
