Well a close win against Stephen F Austin but take the wins however you can and hopefully they can win their next match up and get to the elite 8

Skylar did not leave early. You might be thinking about Jewell Lloyd who left a year early last year. It actually made sense for her to leave early since she was the #1 draft pick last year and she would not have been this year with Stewart from uconn coming out this year.

McGraw has gone to the final Four for the last 4 years (I think), but Brey has never made it that far. McGraw has won one national championship and could make a serious run at one next year with the team she has coming back. And I still think she has a shot this year as they lost to uconn by 10 without our best player.

in fact, over the next 4 or 5 years nd should be loaded. and yes, nd has gone to the last 4 final fours AND the championship game in 3 of the four. plus the fact they've lost 1 acc game in the since joining the acc 3 years ago. the lady knows how to recruit and how to coach.

Big win for the Irish men today. Just a great game to watch. You have to take your hats off to Stephen F. Austin , they played a great game. Zach Auguste played a great game, he really runs the court well for a big man. That Walkup kid for SFA was impressive.

Breanna Stewart is a monster for Connecticut. That girl can do it all. I watched them the other night and they were up 40-4, just unreal. Should be interesting.

Yeah UConn women have been like the Duke men, just dominating or in it year after year. Would love to see the Irish seriously take a NC in baketball, men or women. Agree, Muffster is a damn good coach, so many times the team has been on the brink.... one for McGipper?! :p

If someone told me the men would advance further than the women this year, I would have said that they were crazy, but here we are. Too bad for Muffett and the women, with SC knocked out, I think they would have had a relatively easy path to the finals.

On to next year for the women, and on to North Carolina for the men.

I bet on the Irish to win this game but honestly thought there could have been fouls called twice against them in the last 20 seconds of the game. To me the refs really swallowed the whistle.

If North Carolina shoots the basketball the way they did last night they're cutting down the nets.

Should be fun. My #1 teams UNC and my #2 ND going at it. UNC is playing on such a high level it will be tough for ND to pull an upset.

They are playing great basketball right now but UNC has looked good like this before and then thrown up stinkers so they aren't the unbeatable team everyone is making them out to be. Will Notre Dame win I have no idea but they've played well this entire tournament especially when it matters most.

I wouldn't say ND is playing well. They have looked like poop the last 2 games and one by last sec shots. Last game ND scored 19pts in the 1st half. They can't play like that if they want to play UNC.

I was talking about UNC playing well. But they haven't been an unstoppable beast all year either.

I agree, but they are playing their best basketball right now but any team can win on any given day. Just look at this Cuse vs Virginia game. What a game this turned out to be. Great come back so far.

It was a fun game for the first 35 minutes, but we just couldn't get a rebound in the last ten minutes of the game. I think Auguste going out with six minutes to go out in the first half really hurt. It took him out of the flow of the game, and he never got back into it. But all in all, it was a fun season, and most importantly it means I can get back to worrying about the football team.

It was too much to keep up with UNC. That might of been ND best shooting performance and they sill lost by double digits. What really killed them was rebounding. Their Bigs played soft.

Props to Jackson. Hell of a game. I think he has a shot to be a decent pro. He is a strong guard. wish him luck.

Overall congrats on the good season ND. It was a fun game to watch.
