I think the Nats and the Braves have a better chance of making the playoffs than what they give them but thats just me.

Man, have I missed something this offseason? What did the yankees do to make themselves the 2nd favorite to win the WS from the AL and 4th favorite overall?

FTR, I don't see the Nationals nor the Braves being shut out of the playoffs. Both teams have fantastic rotations and the Braves bullpen might be one of the best in the league.

AL East: Rays win the division, Yankees are a WC (host elimination game)
AL Central: Detroit wins the division
AL West: Angels win the division, Rangers are a WC

NL East: Braves/Nationals win the division, losers are a WC (host elimination game)
NL Central: Cardinals win the division
NL West: Giants win the division, Dodgers are a WC

Nationals/Braves get robbed after winning 95+ games by having to host an elimination game, only to play each other in the divisional round. I think both these teams will be the cream of the crop, especially with the off-season moves the Bravos made.

Braves fans arent worried about losing Bourn, Prado and Chipper, their top 3 batting averages and OBP guys from a year ago? Also Ross, one of the best backup catchers in the game while McCann isnt healthy? Can Medlen put up those absurd stats again?

Not that it's not a concern but it's not like we brought in a buncha scrubs either. A healthy Simmons, McCann and Freeman could go along way in making up for losing the three you mentioned considering the stuggles their injuries played a role in. Heyward seems to be hitting his stride and the Upton's have a ton of potential. Uggla seemed to be figuring things out the last couple months of last season and the way Evan Gettis has been smashing the ball in the minors and winter ball may result in him filling in for McCann til he returns, dude has serious power and experience at catcher and the outfield. Pitching staff looks to be pretty good and the bullpen is ridiculous. Having said that, it could go either way depending on who reaches their potential not to mention injuries, but the same could be said about almost any team.

I hate to cry homer, but Prospectus says the Orioles have a better chance of making the playoffs over only the Twins, Astros and Marlins? Come on man, I know the Blue Jays made some acquisitions and the Rays are relatively solid, but that's just a slap in the face to anyone who follows the O's. Sheesh.

How could you possibly have the Cards beating out the Reds?
