I noticed that. 15 of the top 25.

We can't help it if everybody loves the ACC & SEC. Tell the PAC to get some more "pizazz" and maybe they can win some more votes.




And that's just payback for back when USC used to dominate poll votes over the ACC & SEC in football.

Polls are a lot more about popularity according to those voting than they are about who has the best team. Trust me on that one.

The ACC has a lot of good baseball teams but usually not the best team in the nation. That much is true.

Completely true, but it isn't necessarily anyone specifically's fault. There are not nearly enough resources tracking college baseball, it really is hard to keep up or actually know what you are talking about with 90-99% of teams that aren't the one you follow.

That's interesting but do you have stats on how far in the CWS those teams went?

UNC went to the semi-final last year. Making the semi-final is being in the top 4. And that's pretty dog gone good. It's not like UNC has gone to the CWS and gotten bounced out in the first round for 10 years. I would bet the same is true for FSU.

Surprised UCLA landed so high, but the west pounds the shit outta each till the post season comes. Oregon is a very good club and will be in the top 10 all year long.

Beavs @ 3 means nothing unless we get solid pitching again this year, don't think we will finish that high because of all the good baseball that is played out west and outside of the Pac.

The Heels ranked 17 might be a little low. I understand it, but what we brought in with our Freshman class should make up for a good bit of the power. We will definately be faster this year, but will be starting a Frosh as a weekend pitcher and two Freshman in the infield.

The players are taking this as a diss, so I hope that motivates them to play well during the conference schedule.

Interestingly, UNC and NC State do not play eachother in conference play this year. Knowing that, the two coaches scheduled a Tuesday, non-conference match up at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park...game sold out in 1 hour!!
