We definitely needed some help. Not sure we will ever even see Fox again. He is injured more than he is not. Hopefully Hilliard is not out too long though.

That means there are 26 right tackles rated better and only a few rated worst, it was a pickup out of necessity but not sure it qualifies as a good pickup.

Damn good pickup when your #5 OT is in the top 30 of the entire NFL for at least the past 2 years if not more and it cost you nothing to pick him up...think about it.

Richardson was respectable last season. He's not someone you'd want as a starter for next year but as a short-term plug-in he should be ok. The Chiefs let him go to the Rams. The Rams let him go to the Titans. The Titans then released him at the 75-man roster cut point. No-one has added him since. His play has been good enough so there might be some sort of attitude or personality issue. Good luck with him. Most Rams fans would have taken him back on a near-minimum salary.

WOW #41 of all OTs is pretty damn good for a #5 OT.

It means almost every starting RT is better than him, think about it. There was a reason he was available to scoop up.

Those were last year's PFF OT rankings. They show that he can do the job. I don't know how many OTs met the qualifying criteria. I'd guess about 75. With 64 OTs starting as of week 1 an overall ranking of #41 is respectable if a little below average. A 0 rating from PFF equates to being adequate.
Long was mediocre at the start of last season when he wasn't 100%. By the time he faced the Dolphins he was really struggling. His rating reflects his performance not his potential.
