We get a 6th for a player we likely weren't re-signing this offseason.

Tillman will take his spot on the active roster and I think that is fine.

Always injured. But getting a 6th for a half season of Browning before he is an FA - is not a bad trade. I never thought the investment opportunity into Browning's next contract would work into something other than giving Browning an advance on his next contract.

Agree- My only hope for Browning was that he might sign a 1 year deal with us but at the same time he hasn't played well even when on the field this year so we may want to move on all together and not a 1 year "prove" it deal. We have pass rushers to pay and a guy in Tillman who is ready to see more of the field. I love Browning but I saw this move coming and it makes a lot of sense to me. Was hoping for a 5th but can't really expect much from an injury prone pass rusher, not playing well (this year) but did in previous years whose contract is up.

Cooper was and should have been the higher priority here and Bonitto will be a UFA after next year. At this rate I don't see Browning getting a big deal from someone given his injury history but it is likely someone will offer him a little cash on a 1 or 2 year deal that might be more then we want to pay when we have other pass rushers playing well. This one makes sense at the same time "What could have been", hope he stays healthy and does well. Unlike Randy Gregory he is a great guy and hard worker. Hope he can stay healthy and does well in Arizona.

I really liked Browning as a draft pick and he showed flashes; however, the injuries just derailed his career. Typically players with significant injury histories already showing decline don't become studs later so smart to get a pick for him if you can.

More time for Elliss and Tillman and remember we moved Drew Sanders to OLB for the future.

Just stopping in early on my birthday to ask why y'all traded this guy when y'all are having a surprisingly good season......in relation to the expectations coming into the season of course....

They werent going to re-sign him and he’s injury prone so get something while you can.

Talked about in this thread above.

Injuries, not productive this year, other pass rushers ready for more PT and Cooper getting a new deal combined with Bonitto a FA the year after. We weren’t going to re-sign him and Elliss and Tillman have outplayed him in less time this year. They are ready to see more of the field and Drew Sanders who is hurt is also more of our OLb future. We are well set at OLB right now.

Probably his worst season as a pro this year after first season.

Not probably, it has definitely been his worst season.

Hey Browning gets a 2nd lease on life and he can turn on the jets and ball out for half a season and get in line for contract interest next year. Except he will probably get injured along the way. The Broncos can build a base out of younger players who are more reliably on the field and less expensive.

Paton drafts well late too. Another shot to get another Cooper! ;)

Cooper had a heart issue coming out of college - if I remember right. Coop's a great lunch pail player.

Makes me wonder if Bonitto keeps up his pace if he prices himself out of Denver next year. Even without him were pretty deep. Id like to see more of Tillman.

You should start seeing a lot more of Elliss and Tillman.

I am curious how Drew Sanders will look when healthy next year.
