And our argument is the defense gave up on him. He played the best probability he could. It didn't work. Oh well.My argument is Gruden gave up on his defense with 6 minutes left to go.

Thats called execution dean. They executed correctly, we didn't. Doesn't make the call bad.I thought it was an easy recovery for the dallas guy. The ball bounced right between his numbers.
Actually, I'm upset we lost, but I'm not pissed at anyone. I saw some great fight in this team. Reed, Crowder, Cousins, and the OL fought their hearts out. We just lost to a more complete team at this time. That is it.
How can you play in this league and let your opponent push you around like a rag doll on almost every play? How can you play at this level if you are going to give up on your defense almost halfway into the 4th qtr? that baffles me.

No I wouldn't . Dallas would of earned the win if they went down a scored a TD on that drive from the 25 yardline.
There was no reason to do the onside kick. the ball bounced right in the dallas players arms. It was a body catch.
They didn't need a TD...they needed to burn time.
Zeke gashed us, but I was referring to our DL getting pushed around on obvious running plays. I sometimes saw Hood and Francois well into the defensive backfield and still being driven back.Zeke didn't. He had better games against other teams. 500 total yards and we lost.
Barring any injury to key guys (primarily KC), we can, and should, finish the season with a minimum of 9 wins and very possibly 10 wins. That will get us a WC spot. Hopefully we get a shot at Detroit first. We have a little score to settle......Dean, you can MMQB all want, but we just got beat by a better team today. Were there some questionable coaching decisions? Sure. Were some plays and points left on the field? Yep. But I am not sure if CJG coached the game of his life if we would have won this game. The offense of both teams clearly had the advantage today and they were able to capitalize more.
I agree...there is room for improvement wrt the coaching AND the execution. But I like the direction the team is going. If the OL continues to improve and we can some key pieces on D (particularly the DL), I look for this rivalry to be very competitive and very meaningful over the next 5+ years.
I am very excited to see what we can do the rest of the year. Looking at the schedule, I think this team is good enough to win out. Yeah... I said it. Have an 11 win season. Now, I don't think that will happen. But there is not a team left that is far and away better than we are.
Seriously. I really think Dean was watching a different game. Its always easy to blame coaching. And I too question some of every coaching staff's calls. But to blame this loss on bad coaching is not really understanding what really was happening on the field. Bottom line is our defense could not stop them. It wasn't scheme, it wasn't play calling, it was execution. Our defense was man handled. And this has been the theme with every good running team we have played.
The 2 pt conversion issue is just an extension of our RZ issues. This is where I do have coaching issues. Our receivers excel at getting separation. They need space to do that and the RZ does not offer that. We need a receiver that can post up in the RZ like a strong forward in basketball. Reed, and maybe Garcon, are the only receivers we have that can possibly do that. We need to design plays that isolate them one on one and let them use their bodies to block out the defender. We somewhat did that on our last drives with the TDs to Reed. Finally.I'm with you. The onsides kick was risky, will we EVER recover an onsides kick or convert two point comvenversion? But when Dallas scores on 80% of their possessions you really can't blame the coach for trying the onsides kick.
