My argument is Gruden gave up on his defense with 6 minutes left to go.
And our argument is the defense gave up on him. He played the best probability he could. It didn't work. Oh well.

How can you play at this level if you are going to give up on your defense almost halfway into the 4th qtr? that baffles me.

I thought it was an easy recovery for the dallas guy. The ball bounced right between his numbers.
Thats called execution dean. They executed correctly, we didn't. Doesn't make the call bad.

Actually, I'm upset we lost, but I'm not pissed at anyone. I saw some great fight in this team. Reed, Crowder, Cousins, and the OL fought their hearts out. We just lost to a more complete team at this time. That is it.

oline was bad at run blocking. pass blocking was good. Long got destroyed today in run blocking. Once again Gruden take the ball out of KC hands in the first half when we are in the redzone.

How can you play in this league and let your opponent push you around like a rag doll on almost every play?

Zeke didn't. He had better games against other teams. 500 total yards and we lost.

They didn't need a TD...they needed to burn time.

Let them burn time at their own 25. Don't give them a short field.

Dean, you can MMQB all want, but we just got beat by a better team today. Were there some questionable coaching decisions? Sure. Were some plays and points left on the field? Yep. But I am not sure if CJG coached the game of his life if we would have won this game. The offense of both teams clearly had the advantage today and they were able to capitalize more.

I agree...there is room for improvement wrt the coaching AND the execution. But I like the direction the team is going. If the OL continues to improve and we can some key pieces on D (particularly the DL), I look for this rivalry to be very competitive and very meaningful over the next 5+ years.

I am very excited to see what we can do the rest of the year. Looking at the schedule, I think this team is good enough to win out. Yeah... I said it. Have an 11 win season. Now, I don't think that will happen. But there is not a team left that is far and away better than we are.

I had no issue with the onside kick. Dallas was pushing us around on offense. I did hurt that we didn't recover it, but I like that Jay was trying to win the game.

For some reason I am not as down as I thought I would be. We played a good team tough in their house on short rest.

I thought we might wet the bed today and get blown out. We didn't. Our offense is for real, we are dline and a safety or two away from being true contenders.

I think we will see the Cowboys again. If we can work our way into the 5th seed, that should earn us a trip to Detroit and then probably get another crack at Dallas.

Zeke gashed us, but I was referring to our DL getting pushed around on obvious running plays. I sometimes saw Hood and Francois well into the defensive backfield and still being driven back.

Barring any injury to key guys (primarily KC), we can, and should, finish the season with a minimum of 9 wins and very possibly 10 wins. That will get us a WC spot. Hopefully we get a shot at Detroit first. We have a little score to settle......

Seriously. I really think Dean was watching a different game. Its always easy to blame coaching. And I too question some of every coaching staff's calls. But to blame this loss on bad coaching is not really understanding what really was happening on the field. Bottom line is our defense could not stop them. It wasn't scheme, it wasn't play calling, it was execution. Our defense was man handled. And this has been the theme with every good running team we have played.

I'm with you. The onsides kick was risky, will we EVER recover an onsides kick or convert two point comvenversion? But when Dallas scores on 80% of their possessions you really can't blame the coach for trying the onsides kick.

The 2 pt conversion issue is just an extension of our RZ issues. This is where I do have coaching issues. Our receivers excel at getting separation. They need space to do that and the RZ does not offer that. We need a receiver that can post up in the RZ like a strong forward in basketball. Reed, and maybe Garcon, are the only receivers we have that can possibly do that. We need to design plays that isolate them one on one and let them use their bodies to block out the defender. We somewhat did that on our last drives with the TDs to Reed. Finally.

Yep good analogy, it is just an extension of our red zone problems. But with Reed, Davis and Pierre we have the bodies to get it done. We just don't execute. Getting stuffed on first down runs twice yesterday hurt us, Kirk missed an open Reed on the last two pt conversion, coaches calling fade patterns when they have not worked in two years, a QB who needs to improve on on off schedule plays when the initial one breaks down It's a lot of things.

Dean who the fuck do you want to fucking coach ? Week in week out you do nothing but mmqb the coach win or lose !!! I have no issue with the onside attempt or the 55 yarder . Hopkins is a good kicker and we are lucky to have him we lost to a. better team

Maurice Harris 6"3' 200lbs
Reggie Diggs 6"4' 215lbs
Josh Doctson 6"2' 206lbs

Granted two of them are on IR at the moment. But these guys are the main reason I see us only resigning Garcon if we do resign either of our top two WRs on the Depth chart at the moment. Yea we are going to need a deep threat guy to take Jacksons place, and I only say this because Crowder is too valuable in the slot to make him a starter outside.

You could also toss in Kendal Thompson at 6"2' 198lbs and Matt Hazel, both are on the practice squad. But I think even though Im still made as hell that we didnt take a D-lineman high in the draft... we are going to improve in the Redzone. Just wont be this year.

Resign Garcon and Davis, find another deep threat speed guy,

starters of Garcon, Doctson and Crowder at WR.

Bad coaching by Redskins.

1. Going on 4th down in the red zone instead of kicking the FG.
2. First onside kick.
3. Going with a wildcat in red zone while Cousins had the hot hand.
