You need to start rooting for MSU/Michigan to lose and start quickly.
He waited 4 years to really lock in minny kids.
Jarvis Omerosa looked good but Davison, Anim, John and Wright were all after thoughts??
Don’t get me wrong I don’t want Dbag on our team and I love where Theo and Sacar are at. But it’s stupid instate talent management.
I realize I'm a week late, but Pitino made Wright and John priorities, they went elsewhere
Anim was a miss.
Davison, he prioritized wright and moved to davison too late.
That's not to defend Pitino, but he did try hard on many of the MN kids he missed out on
6 years and one tournament appearance won't cut it, and I've generally been a Pitino defender
Wright definitely wasn’t a major priority. We were in on him but he was very quickly kicked to the curb for IW(major screw up by Pitino).
John the Gophs definitely went after too. But as Wright faded so did Theo(best bet was getting the package deal). By the time Theo announced the Gophs were 100% out.
That’s been the issue. He’s got guys like Davison and Anim that he basically ignored. And the guys he did offer he didn’t go all in after.
After years of Tubby/Pitino I'm ready for a coach with some offensive acumen
Think Hoiberg would give the Gophers a chance?
Think Hoiberg would give the Gophers a chance?
My thing with Hoiberg is I'm not sure he likes recruiting
Doubt we'd get him though
Gopherhole is throwing names like Tony Bennett(lmao), Wojo, Hopkins, Buzz, Cronin, Shaka. Insane people.
I think Oats is the best bet. Would be a nice get.
Musselman if he spurns UCLA
Lol. I mean the only guy that's plausible in that first group is Buzz since he went from a better job to a worse one, so there is precedent, but I think at this point he'd only leave VT for a premier gig. I heard his name thrown around for UCLA, he isn't turning that down for Minnesota.
I'd take Oats too, but I think he may have coached his way to a better job. The only good thing going for the gophers, is outside of UCLA there really isn't another premier job that projects to open. So they should have some good options.
I'd rather have Moser than Oats if I'm the Gophers as I think he fits better but I get wanting to go after an offensive guy. Not sure he clicks with the roster though
