That doesn't answer my question. Why should the conferences who are playing their games at the normal time be punished because the B1G got their panties in a wad and quit too early?

No one is punishing anyone. This years championship will be disputed if they play the CFP on time.

If they moved it back to make time for the B1G to get their schedule in, it would absolutely be a punishment to the conferences that played at the regular time.

There is hope, there is hope. Weather not usually too bad yet, and there are 3 indoor stadiums that the Big 10 can use. Indianapolis, Detroit and Minneapolis are available. Football is possible for Ohio State.

They were talking about starting up after Thanksgiving. Too late to be a factor in the playoff picks.

Yeah, I have to agree with that. In other words we have a mess.

However, there is no guarantee that the 3 conferences will actually make it to the end of their season.

It depends if the other 3 conferences are able to play and finish their own schedules.

Six conferences, really, since the AAC, CUSA & SBC are also holding their seasons at roughly the same time; but the SEC, ACC & Big-12 are the only ones guaranteed a spot in the New Year's Six bowl games. This could be the year that the AAC sneaks a team into the playoffs.

But, I agree with you that there is no guarantee that the season will be completed by all the teams that start. But it is good that there is at least a chance that it could work out.

I hope things are back to normal next year.

They have the Vikings new indoor stadium.

OK...I went and looked it up. I knew the Twins built an outdoor stadium and UM built their own outdorr stadium,
I just assumed the Vikings had gone outdoors. (I don't really watch NFL football or any NBA basketball)

As a fan of a B1G team I totally disagree. The SEC, B12 and ACC did nothing wrong. There’s no reason the championship should be seen as anything but legitimate.

It will be seen as legitimate by the winner. However, if Ohio State goes undefeated, they likely will also claim the championship. Just the way it is.

UCF is definitely not Ohio State.

Reading comprehension clearly isn't your strength. If they go undefeated but aren't in the CFP because their conference postponed their season, their "claimed title" will be the same as UCF's "claimed title"

Yeah, he's from Kennesaw, an hour away from Athens. I'm sure he has a ton of friends, family from there.

I wouldn't compare UCF to Ohio State.

I think this is entirely off base. I think thanksgiving makes a lot of sense, at least for Michigan. We are sending all the kids home after thanksgiving break, no more in-person classes. Which allows the football players to operate on campus in more of a bubble.

Moreover, any "title" that happens this year is always going to come along with an asterisk. So ESPN can hype up whatever playoff is going to *maybe happen this year but either it isn't going to end up happening at all, 2/5 of the major conferences are not going to be participating or teams' rosters are going to be devastated by players having to sit out all year that whatever happens with bowls or titles at the end is somewhat silly.

The argument about students coming back is weird. Coming back for in person classes, when some classes in particular are hard if not impossible to do remotely, is an entirely different argument than coming back to play a kid's game. Sports are games. And you could make the exact opposite argument for schools who sent kids home. So MSU says it's not safe enough for normal students but for athletes it's OK?

So officially Nebraska, Iowa, and Ohio State were the 3 to vote yes to play this season. Everyone else in the L1ttle 11 can suck it - friggin pussies!
