I suck at auctions, but did alright in my first season in a home league that's been running for at least a couple decades now.
last year's keeper was Justin Jefferson for $39....that worked out, was able to scramble together some high score weeks and won the division so I doubled up my entry fees on the year
but came up just short in the semi-finals, and no 3rd place match in this league.

12tm half ppr, +3pts at 100/200/300yds rush and rec, 300/400/500yds pass
$200 auction budget, can't keep same player more than 1 year

options:
Jahan Dotson...$1
Kirk Cousins....$1
George Pickens....$3
Christian Kirk....$9
Breece Hall....$23
Derrick Henry....$65

90% sure that Dotson for $1 is going to be the keeper here. Thought process on not keeping Hall, who was the original planned target to keep before the injury, was that re-bidding on Hall or even Henry could see both RBs go for a lower price than what my keeper value has them at to retain.

all thoughts are welcome

dotson vs pickens is a preference call... i prefer Pickens...

Henry is way too much...

Hall is interesting.... 23 sounds on the cheap side for an elite RB... probably close to his actual value.... so it would not be a bad keep...

so really it all depends on your opinions on Hall... If you think he will be a high end RB2 or better, he would be my keep... pretty easily...

otherwise it is the preference between Pickens or Dotson...

What do you think Kirk will go at?

Dotson is great value, but you'd like your keeper to be a sure thing. Jags passing game is going to produce.

I think you're right on point in your logic. ..... though, I'm certainly no expert (or even mediocre) source on auction.

I love Pickens much more than Dotson, although I understand why otehrs might not.

Pickens hands down for me though

Qb, Rb x2, Wr x2, Te x1, Flx x2, DST and 6 or 7 bench spots. everyone's team had a few guys for $1 or $2 at the end

judging by how people have been valuing Ridley, I think there's a good chance Kirk goes for around $8-$10 again this year

Dotson or Pickett seem like the right choice, depending how you see players talent, QB and offense overall. Think it's a toss up.

Honestly, i would keep Hall... But i am a jets fan... so not sure if it is the homer in me.... but 23 is pretty cheap for that type of upside....

exactly where I'm at, McLaurin potentially coming out the gates slow after getting a turf toe injury in preseason was what had me leaning Dotson.

Henry easily….just kidding

I like Pickens and Dotson but Dotson could take a huge step and he looked great in preseason…for a $1. In a heartbeat.

Can you keep the same player for as long as you want at that price? Hall may be worth it, if he can potentially be a stud in the next year or two at $23. If you can't keep him next year at that price, then Dotson or Pickens is the easy choice. I also lean towards Dotson with Terry being banged up.

Isn't Cook taking half the production?

Would you have paid 46 for Hall?

When you combine Cook signing with the injury recovery, I seriously doubt he'll go for a ton more than $20-25 this year. People spend big money on the big money guys, so the rest can be had at reasonable prices, or at least that's how last year's draft went.

if hall is healthy, there is no chance that Cook will take half the production.... it will be more of a 60/40 and not many RBs have better than that....

and sure, i would pay 46 for a healthy Cook... pretty easily too...
