Wow this has not been done in a long time. Same player beating Fed and Djokovic and winning the event! Kudos to Zverev. Didn’t think he could do the unthinkable. Since he thanked so many people in his victory speech I would like to add. I’d like to thank God/Allah/Vishnu/Buddha/Yahweh for allowing Zverev to beat Djokovic thus delaying his record tying WTF wins to match Fed’s.

I think finally this is the exclamation mark that the new generation has arrived and the older ones need to think about retirement/exits from the game. Fed should realistically play Wimby in 2019 and retire. He could add the USO to the roster as well. But that’s too much tennis to last decently leading up to that. Nole has a good three years and Nadal maybe 2.

I would rather have had FED win Cincinnati, and have Djokovic denied of that.

Djokovic winning another WTF doesn't change things as much as him winning all of the Masters.

Zverev played comfortably and was able to get into all of the long rallies.

This is not a sign yet, because players like him have won Masters 1000s before. They just haven't done as well at majors.

I give Zverev max five years of peak performance if he is able to keep his focus and dedication and drive together. He is extremely tall and should have back issues sooner than the likes of Fed or Sjokovic.

When did his max start? Now? A few years ago?
