Agree with the Texas fans in in here. It is absolutely possible for Texas to run the table, take the Big 12 title, and make the playoffs with 2 losses. Not likely though, but he has confidence, and if you don't think you can win, how can you win?

Swoopes said a lot of things in that presser.

He said that making a bowl is the 'bare minimum' for the program, and the playoff is the expected result every year. He said the team hasn't played to it's talent level yet, and that they have to make big plays downfield.

Is it realistic to think they could win out? Most likely not.......but what is his alternative? To tell the world hey, we have no chance of winning anything so we should just quit now?

If #4 in the AP polls has one loss, but #5, #6, and #7 have two losses playing a much tougher schedule, it is not even a stretch to promote them.

I don't think we have a realistic chance of winning out from this point, but I don't fault the kid for putting up a confident demeanor. I'd much rather read that than a comment that insinuates they've quit for the year.
