Nick Johnson will win defensive player of the year. The scorers usually win Pac 12 player of the year. Unless they give defensive player of the year to Bach just for blocked shots. The Pac 12 network better televise the Pac 12 scrimmages.

Johnson could be our leading scorer this season. Hes not just a defensive player. He averaged 11 ppg as a soph last season. I think either him or Gordon leads the team in scoring.

His shot is just so inconsistent at times though. Now that Lyons is gone the best perimeter defenders will be on Nick Johnson. For a top 20 recruit in 2011 he should be averaging a lot more. Hes still a good defender but I think he is overrated by Uofa fans and the media. The really only good games he had was vs ASU and that's because Evan gave up wide open 3s.

I would rather have a healthy Marshall, hes a good defender and can post up something that will give 2 guards fits in the Pac 12.
