The incredible disappearing act?

He looks sluggish and has been remarkably absent from the passing game and that continued last night. Price didn't go to him often, but his drop late in that game really drew attention to it.

We know he sat out all spring and missed the first game, but he now has 4 full games under his belt and still looks very much out of sorts with this offense.

So the question is what the fuck happened to ASJ and is there a chance he can return? He is no longer one of the top TE's in the conference. He is downright average at best. Going out early? Doubt that now. His stock has fallen right off the map. He'd be lucky to be a 5th rounder at this point.

Really disappointing. His drunken car crash has appeared to have totally ruined an otherwise outstanding college career.

Sad, just really sad.

You have to USE your best players. Not involving them doesn't help confidence.


Going in, to me, ASJ should have been the primary target in a game like this and I thought he would be.

When your number is called you better step up and over the last couple of games he has had drops that he didn't used to have and one of them was quite costly last night. He catches that ball and we get a 1st down and don't have to have the game end on a questionable 4th down play. He just hasn't been there and it's a real head scratcher.

Exactly. If you're really the best TE in the nation you make that catch. Hell the 30th best TE catches that.

Out of curiosity, some research has revealed that Stanford has a rule where by any DUI on campus results in an automatic suspension for 1 academic quarter (been in place for about 10 years) the year Skov got pulled over, he and 8 other students (out of 10 arrests) were sent off the Farm for an entire term. Skov missed the entire winter quarter last year, and will complete his BA but not his MS in the time he has left. Does the U have a similar rule, could that be part of the issue for ASJ?

No they don't he was suspended for the Boise game, he needs to get his head back on his shoulders and be a leader, might have been read to much of his press clippings, defenses are targeting him and he needs to make adjustments and get it done....
