No, he's young. Send him back to the minors for a little more seasoning and maybe he can come back in a month or two.

I'll be honest, I think I've soured a little. I liked him a lot better when I thought his name was pronounced "Ash".

Hope he can be successful for you as he is an ex-Husker player. I knew name sounded familiar but had forgotten that he played for Huskers in college. Always cool to see those guys make it up to a major league roster.

he's off to a rough start...its got to be tough to get promoted to this team right now. outside of his buddy ruf, this team looks and feels lifeless. they just keep losing game after game. hopefully they will stay with asche to give him the experience that he will need for the future.

This is where the Phillies eff-up guys like this. They don't support the guy when he comes off the field. Charlie just stands there with his thumb up his ass. The hitting coach stands there does little and Rollins and Utley used to talk to rooks but I don't see either of those two doing much these days along those lines. I guess everybody is like Papelbon. Just here for the money. Eff everything else.

I think it's likely that the push to keep the older guys without doing a smooth transition is the work of those senior guys in the front office, Gillick & Co., rather than Amaro who's just the front man.

The ownership better extract the cranium from the rectum because this team is a gargantuan mess!! I just watched Cliff Lee give up 4 runs in as many innings and then watched Mayberry get tagged out at second on a spin throw from a pitcher who is about as fast as molasses in January in the North pole. WTH!!!

I mean this team is a collection of dopes and aging vets who can't play a lick of baseball and the FO is thinking about signing another one in Utley whose knees are so bad, I was amazed to see how slow he has become. Seriously?? I watched Delmon Young screw-up his at-bats so badly that his bat found the ball on a check swing!!! WTH!!!

I got so tired of watching this sorry shit, I had to turn it off in favor of sleep. The only cool thing about the whole evening on ESPN was the honoring of the 1993 team. Nearly everyone was there. The rest of it... ...a frikin' dog and pony show at a locally run circus!
