That's unfortunate for him. At least you get to rip the band-aid off and start from the ground up.

Our 2 major Concerns coming into the Season:

1) O-Line, and
2) Ash's health

We just lost our only veteran and starting Center for the year; and our starting QB...

In the First Fucking Game!

We'll be fine......and to the people that think otherwise, YES we will still make a bowl game.

We will need some guys to grow up fast......but this team isn't dead. We may have to run zone read all year, but Swoopes has a live arm, and CAN beat you over the top if you are focused on stopping the run.

What we need more than anything else is the OL to come together.

I saw Quandre Digg's interview and they asked him about the injuries and he straight up said it's time for these two guys to man up. You're not young anymore; they are on scholarship b/c they're good athletes, so it's time for them to man up. I've had my doubts about Swoopes, but I think with Coach Strong, he'll actually be fine. If it was Mack, he would just coddle Swoopes, tell him it's OK when he fucks up and pat him on the butt. Coach Strong will tear him a new asshole if he fucks up..

Well that didn't take long. I'm sure D is upset but not a big loss imo.

It's huge. For week 2 Texas will have 0 returning OL from last year and 2 QB, a true Soph and a true freshman. That is a brutal combination that leads to a road of total offensive fuckery

Time for Wickline to earn that salary. At least we get our starting tackle back from suspension.....

Not once did I ever watch Ash play and was impressed. Not once.
It's probably better to get another body the playing time.
It just sucks that all those preseason snaps were wasted on Mr. Unimpressive.

Maybe the next guy will come in and light the world on fire. Shit happens.

Pure conjecture on my part.

So Ash knew he was hurt, but somehow played through it. Did not tell the coaches he was hurting. Guts for David Ash.

Started throwing up at night. Not good.

Went to the hospital and they diagnosed concussion or bleeding on the brain. His memory was probably a little foggy. Maybe even passed out.

Hopefully, David Ash thinks long and hard about this.

Best Wishes to him and his family.

Oh, his career is over, no doubt about that. He can be a good mentor to the young QB's and then go on to graduate this semester.

I can't give you guys a hard time about that. We are one hit away from the same thing happening with knight if mayfield doesn't win his appeal.

This was inevitable with Ash. Watched the whole game and didn't see any hard hits from No Tx. A real team might have killed him.

Odds bound to go down on Texas after that. I think they were about a 4 point favorite over BYU.

Sorry to hear. Hope he recovers fully and doesn't end up with Merrill Hodgkins disease.

No surprise, as it wasn't a matter of if, but when. Tough to see that happen to anybody and I hope the long term effects are minimal.

Ugh.

That makes me ill. I was hoping to see him get at least one full year in, didn't figure he would get NFL work with his injuries.

Onward and upward donghorns. Get right.
