Boss, I think it comes mainly from the players, there seems to be this perception that there's not much to do in Buffalo from a nightlife perspective. The fact that it gets a lot of snow and can get cold probably doesn't help either (a lot of the same issues that Edmonton faces as well).

NYC has had more snow than we have this year, Does that mean we should call them the snow champs of the US?

Edit: I forgot about "Global Warming"

Why the hell did Sharp win MVP? Team lost, didn't have the most goals, didn't have the most assists, didn't have the most points, didn't do anything after the first period.

Meanwhile, Eriksson scores the game winner and led all scorers with 2 goals and 4 points. WTF?!

started voting when the game started.
It has nothing to do with how the players played. It is who has the most fans willing to send text messages.

I got a text from the blackhawks telling me to vote for sharp as the all star game mvp. I'm pretty sure alot of bhawks also got it. Could be a big reason why he won

It's as if they put Sharp and Giroux together to show all Flyers fans what could have been had they not dealt Sharp to the Blackhawks in what turned out to be a horrific trade for the Flyers. Who knows, maybe even Philadelphia would have celebrated a Cup victory last season had that trade never taken place.

That Cup would have gone well with the one we're going to win this June.

Eriksson should've won the game. Most points, 2 goals, solid performance. Sharp was kinda absent after the first. Not like it's a big deal though. I feel like most of these guys can afford to purchase the car that Sharp won.

I don't know what your talking about, I am pretty sure Matt Cullen scored a goal or two.

New ownership is only half the battle. Have to be able to put the team on the ice. Even with new money, you can't force players to play in Buffalo, and by the looks of that poll, the Sabres image will need to change.

No, It's 100% of the battle. If an owner is committed to putting a good product on the ice that is competitive they will win and draw fans.

As far as Buffalo being a desirable place to play or live, that is also a fallacy, Why did Harry Neale move here well before he became a Buffalo broadcaster? Why does Scott Bowman still have a home here? Why did Sittler move to Buffalo and have his kids in a private school here even tho he never played here? Why does Marcel Dionne live here even tho he never played here? Why does Jim Schoenfeld still live here? Why do Rene Robert and Rick Martin still live here? I could go on and on with a list of players and coaches that started here or moved here because they know the passion Buffalo fans have.

Buffalo as the TV ratings show is the tops in the US even if our team is not in the late rounds. I can back this up with statistics.

The current ownership is why players don't want to play here. From everything I have read and seen the new owner can change that. He is an 18 year Sabres season ticket holder and has twice the money that Galisanblow has, not to mention he is a big time hockey fan. Gakisanblow just wanted to make money.

Bottom line is look out Toronto, Boston, Ottawa and Montreal....this guy has bucks and wants to win a cup.
