Well I think the new ownership of the Sabres will change that. At least I hope. He seems sincerer and is a Sabres ticket holder for 18 years and has twice the money the current owner has.

We can only hope.

New ownership is only half the battle. Have to be able to put the team on the ice. Even with new money, you can't force players to play in Buffalo, and by the looks of that poll, the Sabres image will need to change.

Toronto is a great city (it just doesn't have enough strip clubs and waffle houses for Chipper Jones)

Dash, I don't understand the hate for Buffalo. It's a good hockey town and the arena has great attendance even if the team suck's.

We have hosted the final four in US collage game's to sold out crowds and have the Labbatt's pond hockey tournament that is sold out with teams from as far as Texas. Thousands of people attend.

It just blow's me away with the attendance we have with crappy teams and no one mention's Ottawa that had to lower their ticket prices to fill the arena.....

I could go on and on but it wouldn't matter to some.

Oh well.

Boss, I think it comes mainly from the players, there seems to be this perception that there's not much to do in Buffalo from a nightlife perspective. The fact that it gets a lot of snow and can get cold probably doesn't help either (a lot of the same issues that Edmonton faces as well).

Having the crowd favourites has worked against team Staal today. Stop trying to get Eric and Skinner the puck and score already.

It doesn't get cold in Canada? Have people that visit here ever checked out the Elmwood and Chippawa stirp's?

I just get sensitive when people say that we are not a hockey city and there is nothing to do. Maybe they need a GPS or are underage. :D
