Thanks like a Tampa Bay Rays fan being glad that the Yankees won the World Series, you never cheer the Evil Empire winning.Because I don't think that I am.

lol....leaving the BE for the ACC in bball was at best a latteral. More like a step down except ND, Cuse and Pitt made this more than a two team conference. The ACC is Big East 2.0
And your welcome douggie.
Bwah. "2-team league."
Who else in the BE was good for the last 20 years outside of UConn and Syracuse?
Never understood the conference nut swing. My one friend is an Ohio State fan and was pulling for Wisconsin. I for the most part hate every other team in the Big 10 being a gophers fan. Why the hell would I want Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio State, Iowa etc win in the tournament. Makes no fucking sense.
UofL...I forgot to add them into why the ACC is a better conference today than 3 years ago.
Louisville? You mean the BE had to poach from Conference USA in order to get relevant?

The ACC has 6 of the last 15 National Titles(Duke 2 of the last 6)
The ACC has 9 of the last 25 National Titles(Duke 5 of the 25)
You're welcome jonvi.
I personally pull for the Pac for a couple reasons that it makes sense to me to be happy when someone in your conference wins it.
First, Notre Dame just made a shitload of money because Duke won it. So if for nothing else, Duke just put millions of dollar in the pocket of the ACC, which gets distributed to the universities.

Second of all, conference strength indirectly helps ND. Whether it's tv contracts or just viewership, ND also benefits from ACC teams doing well in the tourney. This also translates into recruiting to play in conferences that contain national champions, as well as playing against NC level competition.
You do whatever you want, but Duke winning definitely helped ND.
Good because I can't see myself chanting ACC! ACC! ACC!
The article you posted states that winning the the championship game is not a factor with respect to the amount of money earned by the conferences for the NCAA tournament. But what it really shows is how little basketball generates, compared to football.
