Why would he want to go to Texas when he could play for Mariners? #sarcasm.

Good point and price just went way up.

Interesting that Mike Trout leads the league in strikeouts.

Looks like Hector Noesi managed to get another start. Starting for the White Sox against the Yanks and promptly gave up a 3 run bomb in the 1st. Also Scott Baker is starting for the Rangers and the Tigers have tagged him for 6 runs in 6 innings of work.

I read the first sentence and I honestly couldn't believe it, so I had to look it up to confirm I didn't read your post wrong.

I SERIOUSLY cannot believe that Hector Noesi would be given a starting spot in any ML or AAA rotation. I am stunned to say the least, that he is even on a major league team in any occupation, but starting? Ho-lee shit.

I spent most of this afternoon watching Tanaka pitch. He's amazing.

Also spent some time watching Boston lose their 10th straight, which was wonderful. :)

The Angels came back just now to get to 4-3 in their game against the Royals. If they can hold on, they'll be within 1 of the A's by the end of the day, I believe.

Nothing would please me more than seeing the Angels take over the AL West by the end of their series with the M's.

Edwin Encarnacion has 16 HR in May.

I would really love if Jesus Montero and Justin Smoak started taking whatever Encarnacion and Bautista are on.

Jose Bautista 2004-2009:
575 G 59 HR (17 HR per 162 games) .238 BA .329 OBP .400 SLG 0.0 WAR
Jose Bautista 2010-2014:
574 G 164 HR (47 HR per 162 games) .271 BA .394 OBP .566 SLG 25.2 WAR

Edwin Encarncion 2005-2011:
786 G 117 HR (25 HR per 162 games) .260 BA .336 OBP .453 SLG 6.4 WAR
Edwin Encarncoin 2012-2014:

I think Montero tried and got caught. :) Maybe the stuff they use is Canada is more powerful because Montero got worse on it.

Astros creeping up on the M's now. They'll be a better club than the pile of shit in Seattle soon enough. What a sad thought.

Almost as sad as seeing Safeco Field occupied by a mere 10,000-15,000 every night.

3 against the Tigers coming up.

Prepare to get dominated, and to see that hovering at .500 disappear.

We get to see Verlander and Sherzer. Goodie.

I think the Astros have won like 11 of their 16 or something like that. Seems like they are building a decent core with guys like Altuve, Springer, Castro and Dominguez. Also have some good arms to. I could easily see them overtaking us, if not this year definitely by next year.

The Tigers have struggled a bit as of late (3-7 in their last 10), but they're so good, it's not going to stay that way. The M's are the perfect team to find their stride against.

They're an amazing team to watch. I've followed them very closely along with the Angels in the AL, so I'll definitely be watching some of Verlander's and Sherzer's performances. It's just a shame that it'll be blacked out on Extra Innings, so I'll be forced to listen to Sims....ugh.

And yes, the Astros are building the right way. They're a couple of years from getting there, but if they stay on track, they'll be ahead of the M's as a franchise before too long.

Trout's back is hurting him, so he got scratched from the game tonight against the A's.

Shame because the Halos and A's are so close right now.

After the Ortiz/Price hate fest last night, the Sox are dominating the Rays.

Anybody else watch Tanaka today?

Tanaka is the real deal. The Yankees would be toast right now if not for him. I thought people were nuts to think he would be better then Darvish but he could win the CY Young

Tanaka and Darvish look as if they could be front runners for the AL Cy Young this year.

Masahiro Tanaka: 11 GS 8-1 78.2 IP 88 SO 2.06 ERA
Yu Darvish: 10 GS 5-2 69.1 IP 83 SO 2.08 ERA

Two guys a bunch of guys on CBS (myself included) were hoping the Mariners would make a run for.
