Troy Niklas still hurt. Hoping he's going to pan out this year. That was a questionable draft pick from the usually reliable Keim.

Great news on Palmer. I like the Gresham signing, but looks like he may not get on the field for Week 1.

I stopped by practice today after work. Both Niklas & Gresham were activated off the PUP today. I saw Niklas in pads at practice but I didn't Gresham. PP looks like he lost 10 pounds, looked lean & fast.

Sounds like Riddick might go on the IR if his hamstring doesn't get better in the few weeks.

First "big" injury for the Cards. Out for 6 weeks means means that he likely misses the week 1 game vs NO & possibly week 2 at Chi. The good news is that we are loaded at WR & Juron Brown should be able to step up opposite Fitz on the outside.

Floyd's injury might not be as bad as first reported. There is still no official word on the injury from the Cardinals.

UGH. And so it begins. Sorry, but after last year, you can't help but be a little cynical when it comes to the injury bug with this team.

I'm not big on Jauron Brown being an acceptable replacement for Floyd. I know Brown has potential, but he dropped a few too many easy passes in clutch moments last year for me (granted, he made some amazing catches in non-clutch moments).

I imagine his signing is for somewhere near the vet minimum. By cutting him, letting him test the market & then resigning him, counting the cap hit from the cut, we will save around $1 mil.

Sendlein has been a durable guy. While he might not be a top-botch center, he is at least above average & played through some tough injuries last season.

This puts Larsen's roster spot on the bubble. We would save $2 mil if he gets cut befor the season starts.

Great news about Cards camp and it comes from Patriots Camp: They just signed Ryan Lindley.

While this doesn't assure us he won't find his way back to the Cards roster, it makes it less likely. Hoping our 3rd option this year is someone that might be remotely competent.

Looks like the Cardinals are looking in to signing RB. I gotta believe it's just a camp body to help with some of workload while AE, Johnson, & Grice get healthy.

Who would they pick up?

Chris Johnson
Stephen Jackson
Pierre Thomas

I read the Ray Rice wasn't an option.

What about picking up an undrafted rook?

I hear it's going to be an UDFA type player, not a veteran.

When it comes to a RB, I agree with that choice.

Last year I thought Kerwin Williams showed flashes. It seems like BA isn't sold on him. His protection needs work, but running wise, I liked what I saw.

It looks like they are targeting Chris Johnson. I like the move if they do. Grice is nothing special. Kerwin was great last year, but small sample size and issues with protection. Had high hopes for the RB they drafted, but perhaps he's not going to be ready for a big role for a while.

Kerwin is likely not making the roster. I think they try to stash him on the PS. The 4 that they likely keep are AE, DJ, Taylor, & Hughs as the HB/FB. To me signing CJ2K doesn't really add any thing to the team. He is 30 year old speed back. We already have 2 on the roster in AE & DJ. So out those 4 guys, who is going to replace? Taylor is the only one, but he has a specific role as a pass blocker & inside runner.

I know they have offered CJ2K a contract, but he is looking for a guaranteed contract while we are just offering a contract with the opportunity to fight for a roster spot.

What's happening?

Hamstring tightness issues have plagued him since last week. He is just now getting back to full practice.

Honestly, it's an issue that has plagued 3-4 other players in training camp. The rookie RB David Johnson has had the same problem & hasn't practiced in more than a week.
