I'm a little torn, I like ending the season on a high note and not having to face Seattle till the last possible instance. We have had Green Bay's number the past 3 meetings but winning against a team 4 times in a row is tough, Green Bay is also getting healthy and they have all their weapons just in time to face us with another short week and a plane trip to the Frozen Tundra. Do I think we can beat them ? Absolutely, What are your guys thoughts ?

I hate that we are playing in GB. The weather element is a disadvantage for us and having Rodgers back is huge for them. I still have confidence in a win, but that's what you have to deal with when you don't win the division.

Ending the season on a high note was more important in my opinion. Beating Green Bay the previous 3 times has nothing to do with us playing them next week. Our team is much different than week 1 bc of Crabtree, as is Green Bay with their injuries. We could still have to go to Seattle early if the Eagles (who I assume win this game) beat the Saints. I don't think that is that far out there consider how the Saints play on the road. I actually want to play Seattle earlier than later. They are a little banged up and I don't think they are playing that well at the moment. I think Harbaugh was holding back after the first quarter and our offense is going to explode this post season.

I like the win but the match up sucks. I think we almost would be in better shape if we were the 6th seed. And as NinersFan80 said, we can still face Seattle in the 2nd round so the 5th seed isn't anything special.

This is definitely going to be a tough road to the Super bowl for us.

but...... you guys are telling me despite winning 3 more games than Green Bay we have to play on the road? How does that make any sense? Division Winners should just guarantee playoff spots not field advantage.

Oh well, I know the rule it just sucks when both Wild Card teams will be playing on the road despite having better records than their opponents.

as far as the matchup goes.....its the playoffs, you play the teams that are good.. we put ourselves in this position by losing games that we shouldn't have(imo), so we go off from here.... GB looks scary and could very well beat us(maybe their due?) but lets not overrate them and underate us... our style of play carries on the road, had this been the first yr under harbaugh, maybe its a bad outlook for us, but yr 3 and the majority of these guys have that playoff experience n that unfinished business mentality...
