I live in San Francisco but like a true liberal SF hippie, I don't own a TV.

And I try to go to bars but they ALWAYS give preference to MNF and MLB playoffs. :(

A hippie who owns a Computer.....but no TV. Interesting. ;)

Google San Jose Sharks Bars in San Francisco and see if you can find any. Might have to go to a Sports bar that has so many tv's that they can afford a hockey game on one of them.

I'm not actually a hippie. I just don't have an interest in watching TV lately. Any shows I like I can find online.

And I don't like to watch in bars that much because they don't put the sound on. I like auditory stimulation.

I haven't been this stoked about the Sharks since the year they acquired Boyle and Blake in the same offseason.

Top 6 is very good. Defense is well rounded. Goaltending is solid. Jumbo has had a revelation and knows he must be more than just a playmaker. The front office has shown a commitment to winning it all, which has to trickle down to the players.

What do you all think? Is this the year? Should we expect nothing less than the Cup?

I'm definitely excited. On paper, I think this is the best team they've ever had entering the season, especially on D.
Cup or bust? Well I think everyone wants to win it all, but only 1 team does. I think they are one of the top 4 or 5 teams, and we'll have to see how things shake out.
I see a lot of people picking the Pens and Hawks, and I don't think either of them are better than the Sharks. Who knows what's gonna happen with Sid. The Hawks got bounced in the 1st round last season, and I don't remember any big additions for them in the offseason. Detroit is Detroit, and they will be around. Vancouver losing Ehrhoff and Torres will hurt them, but they should be right there too.

Yep, I'm not even sure if they sell out for the playoffs. Economy is horrible there.....I was watching Devils games years ago, when they were still good, and they had the same problem.

Detroit also has a big arena. They could not have a sellout in the playoffs and still outsell the Sharks.
