I think he saw the train coming maybe not as soon as it did with implosion of the conference. But he knew he and the school needed to get their ducks in a row and Stewart was clearly not going to be the long term answer. Who knew how true that turned out to be with his passing. Crazy right ?

I don't think that gets brought up enough and maybe Im kinda morbid for thinking about it but could you imagine the fallout had Stew still been the HC when he passed?
Obviously its small potatoes compared to what it did to his family ect. but, I cant help but wonder how that would have panned out for WVU and its football future at the time.

AGREE , that would be awesome for both programs!
Hopefully with UK's recent rise and now Brown being at WVU having UK ties.. we can get that done.

the schools could hype that Hatfield & McCoy theme to no end, makes too much sense.
