Like I said, the repercussions,which are forthcoming, will be dictated by what laws he broke first then the punishments will rear their head systematically. You would have to be extremely optimistic if this ended well regardless of any info coming out.

Actually with the police report that has come out it really isn't out of the realm of reality that Talib escapes this mess with just a few stitches and the embarrassment that he got shot. Right now in the police report all they have said is that Talib was shot by an unknown assailant. So it doesn't sound like he shot himself which allows him to escape any punishment for firing a gun while intoxicated. So then it comes down to was he carrying a gun and was he allowed to be carrying a gun? If this wasn't his gun and somebody just came up behind him and fired at a downward trajectory then Talib is just a victim in a very weird situation.

My concern through all of this is the future of Talib in life, not football. He's gotta get it together real soon.

I was saying all the people hand ringing and throwing him under the bus was full of horse puckie .. Also DC I never pointed any fingers at anyone on this forum just stating he was not guilty of squat . And that the people saying he was off because they checked him I am sure and that test is instant .

There have been reports Talib told friends he shot himself, told police he didn't know because he was too drunk and also it happened at park not club. Depends what your watching for sure. I've only been getting my info from sports programs and not major news channels so it is more hearsay stuff probably. Don't think he's going to come out of this with slap on wrist regardless.

Well officially all we know (based on police report) unless more information comes out and is told to the police is that Talib was shot and he was not the shooter. That is what the police report says and so officially that is all we have to go by. The rest is hearsay at this time. If that is all that comes out and Talib was not carrying a gun but was shot by somebody else with a gun not belonging to him then honestly I can't see how he gets in any trouble. He is just the victim of a shooting. I think it would look bad for the league to come down on somebody for getting shot.
