Depending on what surfaces, majority are misdemeanors but there's at least one felony charge that could really hurt if it sticks. Odds are Talib will have plenty of time to rehab his wound anyway. Idiot.

Really the only news today is that Talib is for sure staying in Denver to rehab during this month off before training camp and that they are hoping for him to be ready for training camp.

Other than that yeah I think no news is good news. The further we get from the incident the more likely the first police report is what they are sticking with which would say that Talib was shot by somebody else and is the victim in this situation. Only way he maybe escapes not being punished legally or by the NFL is if that is the case.

Well the most recent police report and full police report has been released. Right now things are actually looking up for Aqib Talib. He did not have a gun on him when they brought him in so no issue with him carrying while intoxicated and from the stories of the witnesses at the scene he was shot once by an unknown assailant who then ran off.

If this is all that they find then I have a hard time seeing how the NFL punishes him for being the victim of a shooting. Wouldn't exactly look good. Now maybe they give him a small suspension for once again having his name in the news but for the most part looks like other than him being out late not much they can really go after him for.

Yeah the longer all this stays pretty quiet it definitely bodes well for Talib and the Broncos. Maybe for once instead of Talib being a complete idiot he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now yes there is the whole being out all hours of the night problem but I think most of us at some point in our life have been out all hours and not been shot so I don't completely blame him on that.

Mostly my biggest worry was that he would have had a gun on himself and the whole carrying while intoxicated thing is not usually looked well upon in any state. So the fact that there is no mention of him actually having a gun helps his cause. My guess is still a friend or maybe himself were drunk and shot him then they disposed of the gun. Which again does not look good at all but I would be surprised if Talib got in much trouble with the league on this one.

I had a dream last night that I was the guy who shot Aqib Talib -in the park - while the hours were dark. I got away with it because - when Aqib gets shot - everyone in Dallas is a suspect. It was all a misunderstanding. Peace.

Well, the Dallas police report is finally out and they've concluded that Talib shot himself. No comment from the Broncos and it remains unclear if any charges are going to be brought on. The NFL reports that they're still investigating and it has not been determined if Talib will face any disciplinary actions.

I hope this thing just goes away but I won't be shocked if the league comes down on Talib, given his off field history. No gun was ever found on Talib but they are reporting that 1 gram of marijuana was in the group but no indication who had the pot.

If there is to be any discipline, I'm confident that Talib and the NFLPA would appeal with a decent shot to overturn.

If I had to guess, no discipline comes down from the league. There just isn't any evidence of wrongdoing besides stupidity.

Well the way I understand it is that the police department determined that he shot himself but because of a lack of evidence of this actually being true or any witnesses against that they know it wouldn't win in a trial so they have dropped all charges. So legally right now Talib is clear. League wise we will just have to wait and see.

I do know Peter King said this morning that he doesn't think much will happen. Maybe a 1-game suspension or a hefty fine. With the DPD not actually bringing any charges against him hard for the league to do a whole lot. Now given Goodell it all seems to matter what kind of mood he is in the day he gives the decision so maybe we see more but right now looking more and more like Talib should be counting his lucky stars that things did not come down much harder on him.
