This defense to me fits so many of these guys so much more. On the Fan Morning Show they were talking to some analyst and kept asking "Why are people so much more excited about this defense this year because essentially they still have the same players we had last year?" Well we are seeing how much of a difference a coordinator can make. I think Oakland is now seeing that Del Rio isn't a terrible Coordinator but he isn't anything special either. He can take an average defense and make them look above average but he doesn't know how to use talent.

Don't call me a homer but Marshall is all over the field. In the backfield, at the line, pass D, run D... This guy better not get shafted out of the pro bowl this year if he keeps this up..

Really I see at least half this defense making the Pro Bowl if they keep this up. When we brought in Talib, Ware, and Ward I think all of us envisioned that this is what our defense would look like. Unfortunately Del Rio had different plans but we are finally seeing what this defense has the potential to be.

Antonio Smith looked awesome tonight. I thought he would be a bum. I'm really digging this season. I've been waiting for a dominant Defense, and this might be our best D ever

What has happened here is that my predictions about this defense - have turned from - "Oh, you're too optimistic Mingo" and become reality - now no one can remember what i was telling everyone - how convenient.

I'm not sure I have seen Manning or Wade Phillips smile as big as they did last night.

Nice to see him improve and gain trust. He has been great through the first two games.

Back to Talib - once he made his pic six - the Chiefs tried to pick on Harris instead - that's how good Talib has been this season. There is a pick your poison defensive backfield in Denver this year - the Safety Play - has been for the most part -also excellent.

Totally agree. I think the key thing Phillips has done is take the great talent on this defense and let them do what they're best at. JDR had a solid plan, but I remember getting frustrated seeing Miller drop into coverage way too often. And I think the talent we have is all a better fit for what Phillips has traditionally done with his defense.

Last year - you were calling him the worst ever (beginning with his first ever FG try) - yet I noticed his misses were hitting the goal posts and cross bar - which means he was obviously close to being there.

As much as I love and respect you - you don't know diddly about kickers.
