ONLY secondary violations. That is it. Nothing major at all, my guess is we get one or two schollies taken away for a year or two and thats it. This is nothing.

Maybe I read that wrong but I don't think that's the end to all of this.

pretty sure those are just self report violations...

That is what Glazier is reporting from his internal investigation. That means Kelly keeps his job and we move on with this with nothing but a slap on our hands. We are fine!

Um I pretty sure the university in regards to requests for documents from the NCAA due to the inquiry are self reporting 38 minor violations. That just means this is what we're laying out there. Not what they've found.

I'd LOVE for you to be right though.

Where is 46? I'm sure he can agree that this is all they got and all we will be hit with.

Oregon will get a bit more than you are expecting but they are a bit lucky to kind of slde in during the UNC, OSU and Miami stuff.

The PSU stuff has no bearing here. The NCAA knows there role and will let the real cops handle that.

Hopefully it's almost over but I think it's too early to get excited...for one, this wasn't released by the school as a conclusion - was in response to a FOIA request, right?

The list of secondary violations are ones that were already reported since 2009 - not minor things they uncovered during the recent investigation...

This doesn't read all that great:
One violation, committed in the spring of 2011, redacted the sport and the person responsible for the violation. The NCAA codes appearing next to the redacted violation show it relates to a refusal to furnish information relevant to an investigation when requested, and benefits from prospective agents.

Basically, there's nothing about the Lyles recruiting relationship. It's basically administrative stuff relating to their internal investigation (e.g. no phone records between Kelly and Lyles.)

Looks like Texas really did turn in Lyles because they were potentially losing recuits:
University of Texas paid Willie Lyles despite red flag - ESPN

Lyles, who joined Elite Scouting in June 2008, was fired by Fishbein at the end of 2009 because of job performance. Fishbein acknowledges he had suspicions that Lyles was orchestrating his own deals by promising schools access to players he was close to, saying: "That was something that was always a concern for me, that he would get us paid but also do his thing behind us.''

Fearful that Lyles had already cost Texas "three or four recruits,'' Collins looked into bringing political heat on the "street agent that breaks not only ncaa (sic) rules, but also Texas legal rules.'' Collin portrayed the description of Lyles in an email to Texas grad Amy Maxwell, a politically connected Austin attorney, on July 31, 2009, and sought her assistance in getting Texas attorney general Gregg Abbott on the case.

yeah no big surprise that this all started with Texas. When we have our starting backfield from the state of Texas and go 12-0 and a NCG berth while they miss a bowl game they're going to be pissed.
