Makes no sense given our improvements but oh well. We are a bad team, but not the worst in the NFL. I guess these guys have nothing else to do in the off-season.

It's the sexy position to bash the Skins right now. I look at it this way.

Name change debate -check
Disliked owner- check
Polarizing QB- check
Coaching staff turnover-check
Large media market -check
Winning off the field antics - check (injury reports to ticket owners and how many clicks on training camp info being prime examples this year)

You can't make up so many easy ways to bash a team. Lazy sports journalism at its finest. And why not, we've made it easy in the past.

But I think any smart fan who has been following the moves made this past off season has reason for optimism. It's easy to fall into the thinking of 'same old skins' but the moves made have been different. There has been a shift in direction with the arrival of GMSM and it does feel like there is a grown up in charge.

Now we have to see the changes work on the field to really buy into it. I honestly can see no way we end this season with only 1-2 wins. Even at prime dysfunction, we've managed that with division play alone.

I'm as much of a homer as anybody, but let's be real. We may not be the worst team in the NFL, but we have to be in the discussion as we have been the worst team in the NFL over the last decade. Until we prove it on the field, we deserve to be thought of this way. I guarantee you there are 15 other teams that we play this year that are circling our game with them as a should be win. That is perfect, as far as I'm concerned. Maybe a couple will overlook us and we have some upsets.

Couldn't agree with you more but I can't help but laugh at a 1-2 win prediction. Even Vegas has us at 6 wins and they are the king of odds. Outside of health issue, I just can't see it.

And on the flip side look at this article. Bottom line - this is the NFL where predictions like this are pretty worthless. The Redskins have certainly earned their poor reputation but now provide us with some hope. However - we have had hope in the past that resulted in last place finishes. All of this makes the upcoming season that much more appealing.

BTW - Prisco's comments say it all. He only references RG3 & Gruden. My guess is that this clown doesn't know anything about the Redskins (nor most teams) and probably couldn't tell you more than a half dozen players currently on the Skins roster.

My pt exactly. Regardless of how confident some appear (both in the media & general public) nobody really knows how this team will play moving forward. This is what makes the NFL so much fun.
