Yeah, he is really struggling. But he doesn’t have a bunch of ***** pundits on espn clamoring about how bad his team is and it’s not his fault like they do with fields

That's because the Jets are terrible all around and earned that high draft pick. The Bears made the playoffs last year and dumped their QB for a retread and a rookie. Change was needed of course, but I'd argue that offensive coaching staff that's kept the team deep into the 20s in offensive ranking and relying on the defense for wins should've been included in those changes.

All of them until this week, other than maybe Mac Jones who actually has good coaching.

All that needed to happen with the Bears was for Nagy to stop calling the plays apparently?

Jones looks like the real deal. Can't believe the 49ers passed on him with all the run after catch guys they have like Kittle and Samuel and Aiyuk.. He'd be perfect.

He was the rumored pick for a while, but nobody wanted to believe in Jones getting picked that early. Give Lance a chance though, he's given some glimpses of real talent this year so far. Might get the start this weekend.

Hopefully Shanahan saw something in Lance’s upside. It’s hard to trust his judgement though. His evaluation skills are poor. Their second round pick again this year cannot even make the active roster. That is absurd. His first and second round picks from 3 years ago (Pettit and Thomas) are no longer even in the league

Offensive coordinator types should never be given too much draft decision power; I've seen it backfire too often. You get guys like Martz and McHoody making horrible picks.

The Niners also gave their GM position to a complete novice who works in coordination with Shanahan on these picks

A few of his “talent” moments are long bombs on busted coverage. Still way too early though

We will get a better idea of what Lance can offer this weekend when he gets first team reps and Shanahans gameplan is suited to fit the kids skillset. Of course, he has Chandler Jones, J.J. Watt and cpmpany coming at him too. Not the worst defense in the league from the Seahawks goving him easy throws.
