Guilty that our beloved Roberto Duran hands would fvck up the Niners chances at winning the NFC championship.

He is in perfect position, just touch the ball Carlos!!!

Poor Niner fans, they were bound to feel the wrath of Carlos Rogers sooner or later. They just never knew it. I thought it would be an easy pick 6 drop though.

The unasked question here is.....why did he struggle here? The answer happens to be one provided by Fred Smoot. He revealed that while here the team never considered examining his vision. S.F. did and the results were dramatic. Yeah he dropped one but ask yourself this one question........if Washington could reacquire him today in a one to one trade for either D. Hall or J. Wilson would you take that trade???

Yeah me too!!!

For Hall....no way...>Hall is a better all around corner...Definetly better hands, and Los has yet to match up week in week out with the best the NFL has to offer and keep them in check...

Wilson......Sure I would....Wilson is terrible and cant cover anyone!!!!

I would agree with the pt. about Rogers vision possibly in regards to dropping INTs. However - as far as overall play it goes much deeper. The 49ers are significantly better than the Skins as far as their overall defense. Funny how DBs become that much better when they have a solid pass rush & front seven.

IMO, Carlos got a bad rap here. Yes, he dropped numerous INTs, but what is not noticed was that he had blanket coverage to be in a position to drop those INTs. He was a very good cover corner. As stymie pointed out, once he had his vision addressed, he started catching some of those INTs. We should have kept him, good cover corners are very hard to find. He is way better than Wilson. A CB trio of Hall, Rogers, and Amerson would have been one of the best in the league and would have allowed Amerson to come along at a good developmental pace.

We have no disagreement, however a solid pass rush can become exactly that or better because of the back four as well.

True, but if I had my choice I would go with the dominant pass rush & take my chances with a so-so defensive backfield. Doesn't really matter much in the Redskins case since they need help in both areas.
