Don't do it yourself. What kind of Ford do you have. Are you getting the windshield done?

I considered it but decided to have my car professionally done. The price you quoted sounds pretty steep, especially for a truck. I got all four side windows and rear windshield done on my Sonata in 20% for around $300.

I've had limo tint put in all the way around (windshield and all) on my last three vehicles and 300 for a Ford Ram all around sounds about right (windows are pretty big). I've sat there and watched the pros fuck it up and have to redo them. If anything gets in there, a spec a dust, a bubble, anything and it has to be redone. Not something you want to get involved in if you are mailing away for the stuff. Go with Best Buy if that's a better value, but over-paying a little is better than screwing it up yourself.

Right, because tint is cheap but labor is not, and it isn't as easy as it looks. It shouldn't be over 300 if you aren't getting the windshield done btw.

I would not do it yourself, but for a pickup, that sounds very high. It was around $350 for my Audi (5 windows, plus the 2 small ones behind the rear doors), and that was an upgraded film that has a lifetime warranty.

Check with the shop. I know I got a deal for paying cash.
