anybody watch game 3?

wasn't on tv anywhere and i couldn't find a stream (flyers.com was regional)

stats look like the flyers started slow, but finished pretty solid.. like the guys that show up on the stat sheet (carle w/ a ppg, simmonds with a goal, jvr with a goal and an assist, and giroux with an assist)

anybody see how they looked?

I saw the shootout, only to have it cut after the 5th round or so.

Simmonds had a nice goal, Giroux just missed the Foppa.

Simmonds has a banana thrown at him. I didnt find it racist, but he made a statement after the game and pulled the race card. Maybe it was, maybe it wasnt.

Other than that, I am proud we tied it up from losing by 2 in 3 minutes. Leighton was in net, so those 3 goals equate to about -2 in Bob/Bryz play.

ya.. i dno i think the banana thing can be taken 2 ways.. 1. racist, pretty obvious in my book, cant fault him for thinking it to be racist.. or 2. it's a banana, thats what ppl throw in cartoons for ppl to slide and trip over..

either way, he didnt sound too effected by it, so good for him

from everything i read he was the stud of the game, even though jvr had a goal and 2 assists.. regardless, to have those 2 be the standouts for the flyers makes me happy.. especially considering they couldn't rely on voracek and read tonight

this is one of the few times i disagree with ya 4706. i believe it was 100% intentionally racist. that being said, i don't think wayne pulled much of a race card on it. he was asked about it, and i'm sure the reporter was suggesting the intent of racism. so he answered it the best he could.

After just watching the low lights....Leighton was freakin brutal in net. He had zero mobility and vision on shots that Ray Charles would have stopped.
