He is suppose to be a great basketball mind, do you think he will work out as the Cavs coach???
He can't get a fair evaluation with James there.
The guy is a winner whereever he has been. Great tactical mind. However, not surre he has had to deal with the egos he will face in the NBA. That is a huge part of the job in the NBA. That is the hesitation. Great mind but is he a goos psychologist.
Saban was a great coach in college but did not translate well to the NFL. There is a learning curve in coaching highly, highly paid professional athletes with monster egos who have been pampered. Could be lightening in the bottle or may take time to adjust.Good hire. Instead of hiring a retread, they went with an outside the box hire. He has 17 championships in 21 seasons, I don't care who you are coaching...that is amazing.

They might as well have named James coach, GM, and any other position that makes decisions.
