Eli gets in easy because longevity matters. Accumulating football statistics for the football hall of fame matters. Obviously.

Brown's peak seasons give him a chance, but there will be many people connected to hall of fame voters that undermine him or worse.

If he does get in it's going to be years later for this reason. I really don't honestly want to see him make it at this given moment but think he ultimately still will.

The short answers is: yes.

AB's numbers are very comparable to Calvin Johnson, who nearly everyone agrees is a HOFer.

CJ: 135 games, 731 receptions, 11,619 yds, 84 TDs
AB: 131 games, 841 receptions, 11,263 yds, 75 TDs

Like Johnson though, it becomes a question of "when". If AB never played again, the furor over his 2019 conduct & previous dirty laundry largely would be forgotten, assuming he could shut up for 5 minutes.

Not sure what you're saying in the 2nd paragraph. My point was basically that the media can keep a deserving player out of the Hall. Well, I guess I should say they can delay that player's induction. They definitely hold grudges when they vote.

I obliged...no was my pick....but my feelings are more in line with maybe.

Certainly a worthy player...he has solid numbers, 7 pro bowls, and 4 1st team All pro seasons...no rings, no MVPs, nothing else to distinguish him from guys with comparable to better numbers that are not in....toss in his last career antics and it might be awhile it at all.
