Unbelievable performance.

Brilliant acquisition.

What else is there to say?

You can say "Thank you" to John Harbaugh for giving him to us. When is the last time the 49ers had a guy who you could just throw the ball up there to and he would come down with it? Never, I believe.

Well, Jerry Rice might have something to say about that. but even T.O. wasn't a guy who would just go and take the ball.

But don't you guys still have Crabtree and Vernon Davis? Giving too much attention to just one receiver will get Seattle beat, methinks.

You guys have a nice arsenal of weapons at your disposal.

Still have Davis, but Crabtree and Manningham are out for at least the first 6 weeks and probably til Novemeber. Our 2nd and 3rd WR's right now are a work in progress.

Boldin, Crabtree and VD will be scary

they won't repeat yesterday's stats all season, but Boldin and VD alone is scary good? wait, also credit to Kaep and very good pass protection.

by opponents keying on them from here on, this should help out others in getting one on one match-ups. whether McDonald, Moore, KW, whomever, this should help others get in the mix.

I never saw Rice that way either. He always got open and caught the ball but I don't remember him going up and just muscling the ball away from defenders like Boldin does.

Absolutely loving the Boldin pickup.

He does not rely on speed either, so with his skill set he should have a few more years left in the tank.

It also gives us options because before I was starting to think with our thin receiver corps Crabtree would have been able to hold us hostage. Now we can split the money between Boldin and Crabtree, and if Boldin will accept less to stay and Crabtree wants his $10M+ year let Crabtree walk.

We have two bigger receivers in Harper and Baldwin that we can develop, plus McDonald. Hoping that Boldin and Vernon can rub some skills and work ethic off on the youngsters.

Harper's physique is a clone of Boldin's.

Anquan Boldin - WR - 49ers

Coach Jim Harbaugh said Anquan Boldin is "worth every penny."

The 49ers gave the No. 199 overall pick in the draft to Baltimore in order to acquire Boldin and his $6 million 2013 salary. In Week 1, Boldin turned in a performance for the ages with a 13/208/1 line against the Packers. He's an ideal fit for a the Niners because rocket-armed Colin Kaepernick is willing to rifle the ball into tight spaces and Boldin excels at catching passes in traffic. After losing Dennis Pitta and watching Jacoby Jones go down on Thursday night, the Ravens may be regretting not finding a way to fit Boldin under their cap.

Did you know that Boldin had 200 yards only one other time in his career.

The very first game he played in the NFL in 2003. Arizona vs Detroit 10 receptions for 217 yards and 2 TDS.

Anquan Boldin - WR - 49ers

Anquan Boldin is expected to match up with Richard Sherman for the majority of Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

We can be certain Seattle won't let Boldin humiliate them like he did to the Packers in Week 1. Sherman is a physical 6-foot-3 corner that was a first-team All-Pro last season and graded out as ProFootballFocus' top cover corner by a wide margin. Boldin is a solid WR3, but owners chasing last week's 13/208/1 line are going to be very disappointed. Related: Richard Sherman

Boldin will be negated by the man to man coverage Seattle uses because he is too slow to get open with that type coverage. He excels at finding the soft spot in a zone but struggles in Man. That coverage will open up a lot of opportunities for VD and for Gore and Hunter however. With the dbs backs turned in coverage it will also bring on Kaepernick with his running. It should even out.
