The product is unwatchable. One of the reasons being the disparity in talent. You can almost predict who the winner is going to be every time and most games are blowouts. As is, women's college basketball gets almost no attention.
I mean, maybe the top 5 games of the entire season are on TV and then they play the final 4. Does ANYBODY watch the women's selection show other than somebody who might just have the TV on while surfing the web or falling asleep?
I actually feel bad for WNBA players. Some of them have spent a lifetime working just as hard as the men at their craft and nobody gives a f@ck. I mean who the f@ck goes to WNBA games? A few mothers with their 8 year old daughters? Lesbo PE teachers? People who actually want to sit in a seat in Madison Square Garden without paying $150?

The Women's game is unwatchable.
And that is not a knock on the product. Yes, the product is slow, turnover prone, and boring.
But, even with a bad product....you can still make it watchable if teams were competitive.
But, there is almost no chance a team ranked #10 can hang within 20 points of the #1 team....every season.
It is not just the bottom feeders. It is the majority of ranked teams being helpless as well.
The men's game is exciting because any team in the top 40 can feasibly beat the #1 team with some luck.
The Womens tournament is just a waste of time.

The problem is that most guys play bball their entire life from age 2 and up. So there is an abundance of talent and that leads to parity. But not nearly as many girls grow up playing and there just isn't much overall talent. For every 100 decent dude players in high school there may be 1 girl who plays at a similar level. So only a scant handful of college teams have any depth or even decent starters.
As to the girls game itself, they certainly use more teamwork than the men with better passing, but there's no game at the rim or jumpshooting at the 3.
Personally, I think they should emulate the women's lingerie football league and attendance would easily improve.

Lol are you for real? I think the Shock won like 3 championships and no one gave a shit. It's actually pretty sad how many people care about Lynx hoops around here.
Shows how bad the wolves have been
The irony of you saying this is that the Spurs play a WBB style.
But also for the others. The 2016 FF had the highest number of seeds ever (I believe).
Notre Dame just lost to an unranked team.
South Carolina lost to Duke by double digits.
Maryland is quite good. I can't say anything bad about them. wouldn't shock me at all if they took both the ACC and the title.
That would be quite the accomplishment.
Damn it. LOL. Totally spaced on that.
Conference realignment is awful. I'm convinced people are going to continue to make mistakes (without thinking twice about it) like that until the end of time.
