I appreciate Cishek is the closer but after what happened last night I would have brought someone else in. To have him blow 2 straight games in a row is a confidence killer.

I highly doubt the M's come back in this game

But he hasn't exactly dominated. He has gone Rodney Express more than a few times and this one bit him in the ass.

And how do you freaking miss a base? Aoki almost gets picked off twice in one AB then misses a bag that cost them a run. Add the Blowpen making an appearance and visions on Mariners past are coming back in my head.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

2014 Rodney blew 3 saves the entire season. Cishek has blown 3 saves in the last week.

It was a rollercoaster, but he was a big reason for the M's success in 2014.

Caught up to him in a big way in 2015. Z was an idiot for not seeing the M's pen's historical amazingness in 2014 was an extreme anomaly.

That was a shit loss, but the sky is not falling. It was a team effort to screw that one up, but it happens. If it keeps happening then we may have a problem, but for now, it's one of three. Start over tonight, we'll be alright.

With O'Malley being called up and starting in CF, I thought I would update our OF rankings.

AVG/OBP/SLG%

LF - 20th/17th/26th
CF - 27th/26th/22nd
RF - 26th/21st/27th

I can live with CF because of defense provided, but there is no excuse to have the worst offensive corner OF's in the league year after year.

And 1B rankings: 18th/29th/22nd.

And I hate to blame Cishek because it really isn't his fault. M's chose to go cheap with their pen and sign a 'C' grade closer. So in reality he is doing what he does. He is a former closer who was good for a couple years, faltered, traded, and had some success as non-closer.

No reason not to blame him. He stinks right now. Doesn't mean he will keep stinking. You just gotta hope this a rough patch and something where the wheels fall completely off.
