Here is the M’s schedule for the rest of the month heading into Sept. absolutely should NOT be playing under .500 ball with this schedule. But they do play to their competition so we’ll see.

No one on the team can lay a bunt down

It doesn't even have to be a bunt for a base hit. just bunt the ball anywhere and the runner probably has a chance to get to third. stick the bat out and touch the ball. Make some contact and try to hit the ball in the infield if you cant bunt, even if he gets out the runner may advance. I knew the game was over as soon as he got out.

Players inability to bunt is a failure of management, this is supposed to be a professional baseball team. A team that could bunt even a tiny bit would destroy the shift but teams are too lazy to teach that these days.

So it's time to have a discussion about Mitch Haniger.

He was medically cleared a while ago and was cleared by the coaches to return 'when he is comfortable' and yet, he's still hanging out in the minors clocking ML dollars.

Staff said he would return when he is comfortable with his timing. Even a Haniger working on timing is better than Kelenic at least at this time yeah? He's a better more experienced option than the rookies and can't be any worse than Toro in just pure average.

He's fragile in more ways than one. You're a ML baseball player. A seasoned veteran. Act like one.
