Yes, he has.

Honest question: how many of those comebacks were necessary because he shat the bed in the first half?
Luck's game reminds me a lot of a young John Elway or even mid-career Elway. Elway threw a lot of picks in the first half of games due to dumb decisions and consequently the Broncos fell behind, only to have Elway engineer 2nd half or 4th quarter comebacks. Also, both QB's lacked the accuracy in passing in the first few years, although Luck is improving each year. Actually, Elway's accuracy was bad his first 10 years in the league as he completed around 54% of his passes on average. Both QB's are physically built, have very good wheels, but are pocket passers.

Wow, Elway's passing efficiency was horrendous his first 3 years!

John Elway:
Year TD/Int/Comp%/Rating
1983 7/14/47.5%/54.9
1984 18/15/56.3%/76.8
1985 22/23/54.0%/70.2

Andrew Luck:
Year TD/Int/Comp%/Rating
2012 23/18/54.1%/76.5
2013 23/9/60.2%/87.0
2014 38/16/61.7%/95.4 (through 15 games)

You don't need an elite quarterback to win super bowls. That's my point.

Wilson performs well in the rare instances when he is asked to step up which is why he has the makings of elite quarterback and not another Alex Smith.

However, Andrew Luck has 9 4th quarter comebacks since he's been in the league, same as Wilson.

True Mannings worst playoffs besides the 8 1 and dones he won the SB

Is there a way to edit your replies? I meant to say "If the question is does an elite defense and running game make it easier to win? I agree it does."
