Andre Drummond is a beast

And lastly- Andre Drummond is a BEAST....if the Pistons are a solid team this year the guy is going to be top 8 in the MVP race. HEs just that damn good- 25 and 29 the other night? Hes a GREAT GREAT player. Letting Monroe walk for nothing kinda sucks- I would have dealt him- but opening up those shots and that post position for Drummond and getting a shooter at the 4 like Illysova is CLASSIC SVG....get your DOMINANT center and a stretch 4 to give him space.

I usually disagree with you quite often. However, I couldn't agree more. The fact that he's pulling the numbers that he is is utterly ridiculous. The fact that he also delayed signing a new extension to give his team flexibility shows what type of guy he is. Dude is definitely the best center in the league right now.

His team's record is going to ultimately take him out of the MVP race. As will Lebron and Stephen Curry given how they're putting up really good numbers while both of their respective teams are leading their own conferences.

Yeah. Great season Drummond is having. I kinda like the way he ended up with the Pistons. It just mirrors how he plays. Great work ethic and a never say die attitude.

One of the most interesting things is he slipped in the draft 3-5 places because people weren't sure of his work ethic. (Cavs at 4 & Kings at 5 would have definitely taken him except for those questions... Waiters & Tom Robinson.)

I really wanted Drummond for the Warriors, but they opted for Harrison Barnes. Can't really complain, but Drummond has become an absolute monster. He's looking like peak Dwight Howard already, with so much room for improvement. Going to be fun to watch him play for years to come.
