Ya, I got today's game, going tomorrow in Scottsdale against the DBacks and we are going try to catch one Friday before our flight leaves. Damn Arizona has blown up since the last time I was down here.

Ya, we moved here in 2008 and it seems like it has doubled even since then. Hard to get around with all the traffic.

Been good so far, weather has been amazing and there is everything to choose to eat down here. Honestly just blown away, just hope we see some good action with the game today and hopefully are able to go early Friday. The weather has given the kids sun burns so we haven't been able to go early, so hopefully they are just tanned.

The uniform thing happened the other day as well. They ran out of players so those guys are the ones in minor league camp. Looks funny.

It was weird but hilarious because the DBacks fans were heckling the pitcher then he struck Goldschmidt out..then all the fans yelled give him a real uniform

Mariners released RH Justin De Fratus.

Not that I thought he would be anything special but would hope this means some sort of positive news. Either some of the guys ailing are getting healthy or someone else is being brought in.

Mariners released RH Justin De Fratus.

Mariners re-signed RHP Justin De Fratus to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

De Fratus was released Wednesday, but the M's have brought him back on a minor league deal. He'll provide some right-handed relief depth.

Good thing Zunino was tearing it up in Spring Training... Was even worse from where he left off in Sept '15...

In 19 at-bats this spring, Zunino had three hits (.158 average) with two walks, four RBIs and a triple.

Pretty good article on one of the big analytics that Dipoto/Servais are focusing on, which is strikeout-to-walk ratio.

It's only spring, of course, but the club finished last year with a -66. This spring, they're +27.

Servais points out that only once in the Mariners’ 39-year history did they finish with a winning record despite a negative rating. Last year’s 76-86 club posted a minus-66 rating.

I know it's spring, and it's a small sample size, but I like that they're making hitters and pitchers focus on trying to control the zone. Purpose and intentionality are big for anything competitive, IMO.
