But yet you go on and on about how bad you beat USC who now has Darnold starting. Some teams get better some stay good others improve. It's a fact that teams like Stanford arent what they were supposed to be but it goes for the SEC also who maintain their rankings for la longer time because one SEC over ranked team beat another overranked SEC team giving one an undeserved boost and the other a "good loss" .

LOL, nice to see the kings of being given rankings you don't deserve talking shit...makes me nostalgic for 2012.

I visited your awesome campus in 2014, and believe me, It was AWESOME.
Had a wonderful time touring the stadium, and we even ate lunch at the famous corner eatery.
All said. it was awesome.

Weird that we have to tear each other apart. My visit to bama was awesome.
What a Beautiful campus. I loved my visit at 99%. Loved it.

They are a flashier version of Iowa last year.

That being said, Browning is a stud and Peterson is miles ahead of Ferentz and if everything breaks right they could do damage in the playoffs

Washington 2014 - 8-6
Washington 2015 - 7-6

There is zero doubt that Stanford, Oregon, UCLA and USC are all down.

I think Peterson is a great coach and I think Washington is vastly improved but it's early to claim they have elite talent and can play with anyone in the country right now.

It won't be shocked if they go undefeated in the regular season but I won't be shocked if they lose to USC and Wazu.

Washington posters are starting to get very Oregon like in their posts. It won't be long until some numb skull starts predicting 50 point victories like Mamba used to. If the Washington OD shows up we are locking him in your PAC 12 thread.

Be careful guys or you will become what you hate.

Yeah. And again someone gets left out that may be more deserving.
Gotta stop you right here man.

This BCS system you are trying to champion had all sorts of controversy. For one, it only put the top two together. Which do you put in this year? Clemson or Michigan?

With a 4 team system you at least should have the top two somewhere in the mix. You left room to take 2a and 2b.

There is no system you can devise that makes it so teams get ranked in exact order according to how good they really are. Too much subjectivity.

It's simple for every damned P5 team. Go run the table. Just do that. Run the freaking table. Go 13-0 and you are in. Lose a game and whether or not you might actually beat another team ranked higher you blew your chance. That's college football.

Just
run
the
table

T-town is nice, as is Alabama in general. Haven't lived there since '99, but love going back.

For the record, I haven't said a great deal about Washington in this thread good or bad. Now, USuCk and Wash Jr and the PAC in general is a different story. The Huskies are probably the best coached team in the PAC, we'll find out in a few weeks where the talent is. I certainly would struggle to put any other team in the #4 spot, this week or last.

I lived in LA for a number of years and did a lot of business in Washington, really love the NW, Doesn't mean I think the PAC is having a particularly good year, nor is the SEC for that matter, so I guess we will see how it all shakes out.

Washington is most likely going undefeated in conference play. How they do in the playoffs is an unknown but I can tell you now that Petersen has the Huskies ready to rock in the near future. There's only a handful of seniors on that team and his recruiting just keeps getting better and better. On paper the Huskies are set to do better next season than this one. This season has been an early surprise ... some due to the fact Oregon and Stanford are down but mainly because Petersen has the players buying into his system.

He's a quality hire. Not sure he will ever be able to compete with USC for talent if they ever get a competent coach, but as long as they keep shooting themselves in the foot, go fuskies.

He's out recruiting SC so far this season. Washington's recruiting will only get better after this year.

Things run in cycles and Washington has been down for a long time so they are due. What I don't get is the over the top expectations of the posters right now. You would think they would have learned to be more prudent with their optimism. The worst thing they can do is get their team thinking they are the second coming because that's when a team screws up. Undefeated runs in any conference are tough and not something to automatically pencil in.

Yeah, but Helton is a light weight in my opinion. If Petersen was at USC and Helton was at UDub, I think USC would be kicking your ass in recruiting 5 ways til Sunday.

I think USC is going to regret signing Helton to a multi-year deal. Recruiting is just one of the way's Washington is showing them why.

It's no knock against Washington, USC is the home team in a hot bed of football talent, most kids growing up in LA dream of being Trojans, hard to compete with that, all things being equal.

Washington fans expect to win the PAC this season ... that's about it. No idea what happens in the playoffs if Washington makes it that far. All I know is this season is going to be a boost for recruiting if Washington wins the conference. TBH I was thinking 9 wins for Washington this season ... that was before Stanford and Oregon took a nosedive. Stanford won't be down next season and rumor is Oregon is in the hunt for a super coach and is willing to pay big bucks for one.

USC is a sleeping giant who's made some bad coaching hires of late. I was worried SC would go after Tom Herman seeing how Herman was raised in the SoCal area and his folks still live there but Pat Haden pulled a Pat Haden and set the wheels in motion for Washington to get Petersen.

Chris Petersen Rejects USC Again, is Steve Sarkisian the Front-Runner?

I dont see any of the regular UW posters who have been here a few years having over the top expectatuons... in fact we were all very reserved in the beginning, started getting a little more confident after stanford, but I don't see us acting out of control.

Hell, I think most of us will still be a little surprised if UW does run the table. WSU has a history of being dicks when we need to win the apple cup, and there's good chance they'll be playing for a spot in the title game this time, too. Still, I don't think it's unreasonable for us to be excited and express it. This is my first experience seeing my team be part of the general discussion on this kind of forum, so that's fun too. Last time UW was relevant, I had just discovered AOL instant messenger...

I've been a Huskies fan back before Don James was HC at Washington. I was posting on Rivals when recruiting boards were just starting to take off. Ya I like to troll some and I talk a lot of smack ..but fvk it ... I've waited years for this moment and I'm living it up.

Coming from the poster who guarantees a Washington win next week? While the new guy takes it one game at a time? You may not like Alaskaguy. But he does post a lot of stats, facts, articles and makes very solid points.
