Time for the PAC and B12 to clean out the bottom feeders and merge. Take the top 6 from each conf and we might be competitive with the big boys(SEC, BIG, ACC).

From the B12:
OU
OSU
WV
KSU
UT
TCU

From the PAC:
Wash
Stan
Ore
USC
UCLA
Utah

These may not be the top teams now, but historically have fared well. Or pick 12 others....surely it would be an improvement over what we have now!

Sooo, who should be rand #4 or 5?

Washington will be #4 by default. Do I think they are the 4th best team? No. I think you could give their schedule thus far to a half dozen teams with losses and they'd be undefeated as well.

It isn't Washington's fault the Pac-12 is a disaster right now, but they are definitely benefiting from it.

I don't know about the rest of the SEC, but we didn't beat Tennessee, Kentucky, A&M, Arky, Ole Miss or LSU 52-6, In fact the only other team that we beat by 48 was Kent State.

Now, since USC is 5-2 in the PAC, I guess we could surmise that an above average PAC team is about the same as a middling MAC team

...which is about as legit as you saying there are no other good SEC teams...

And I doubt any of those opponents you mentioned started the season with a new head coach and every position coach either, those kids were all learning new schemes with new coaches, you should be feeling real proud of yourself..

Actually Auburn is so beat up right now I probably wouldn't want to play Washington State. I'm not sure we can beat a crappy Georgia team next week if Pettway and White aren't 100%.
Good point. Definitely makes a difference WHEN you play a team during the season. Some getting better and healthy, some getting worse and unhealthier.

But, I would think Aubie has some pretty good depth since they recruit well. Or has their recruiting been worse than I assume?

I never said that there were "no other good SEC teams". What I said was the only "quality" team in the SEC is Bama. The SEC is no better than the PAC 12 this season. Both have good, average and bad teams this season.

You boys cant have it both ways. You can't say Stanford wasn't a good win when they were ranked when Washington beat them then turn around and talk about bamas win over USC in the first game of the season. Everyone knows it's not the same team. yes they wold lose to Bama but they would score more than LSU did. Oh snap they did even back then.lol. Better recalculate your argument.

At least you're honest.
Auburn fans are typically realist

Defense is deep - It's been a focus the last 3 years
O-Line - is Ok and can survive normal injury issues but not much more.
RB - Two left the program, two are not 100%, one is out for the season and we are converting WR to run right now.
QB - Had a lot of duds, if White isn't healthy we are screwed. Got a kid we could take the redshirt off but it's not worth it.
WR - Pretty deep it's been a focus

This next recruiting year we have to get OL, RBs and secondary.

Yup, and we were breaking in a new DC, with 6 new defensive starters...since we are making excuses...because that's what they are, excuses.

There are at least 5 SEC teams that would beat the Trojans handily tomorrow.

LOL, yes, USC scored 6...6 more than LSU, but it doesn't much matter how many you score if you give up 52.

As I just stated, I am not calling USC a quality win, y'all suck...I thought comparing you to a middling MAC team would make that obvious.

So if they beat them, they should be punished for it?
No, but their SOS should be punished. That cuts both ways. Some teams schedules get more difficult as the season progresses, some get easier. Hocutt said committee members liked and rewarded the SOSs TO THIS POINT of many teams as the reason for their rankings higher than others. (A&M for sure). If they are crediting them having a good SOS early in their schedule, they should punish them for having a bad one later in the schedule. Can't have it both ways. Let me rephrase that, you shouldn't be able to have it both ways. The committee seems to change criteria emphasis frequently.

Alabama scored less on LSU than Jacksonville State. Since were talking about who scored what on who. Congrats on that.

You can seriously doubt whatever you want, but the empirical evidence suggests otherwise.

No its just your ignorant opinion that amounts to nothing more than that stool I left in the toilet this morning
