Dallas had the highest valued sports franchise in the world, most famous cheerleaders, 5 SB championships and currently 2 former QB's that announce, and do a pretty good job at it. They could go 0-16 next 20 years and still be relevant
Yes, that is why we are America's team.

A Dallas fan is thankful for a Niners SB win?
Dallas fans don't look at the niners the way the niner fans look at Dallas.
Same could be said about a lot of fans that are non NFC east teams in this league.

worst is perhaps the Viking fans, still not over the Hail Mary nor the Walker trade

If it were a Dallas win or be forced to eat Cincinnati Chili, what would you choose?

I don't really care whether Dallas wins a game or not....they are irrelevant in my eyes right now. Cinci chili? I hear bad things about it, and given that homemade chili is my favourite food, I'd probably dismiss it.

No, it is determined by NFL fans.

A real Dallas fan here @Manster7588 already explained it was given by NFL films

The term “America’s Team” was coined by Bob Ryan, now Vice President and editor in chief of NFL films, after the 1978-1979 season. He was preparing a script for a highlight film for the Cowboys of the 1978 season.

“I saw all these [Dallas] fans at away stadiums. Hey, they’re the most popular team in the country,” Ryan explained. “How can I use that? Why don’t we call them America’s Team?”

John Facenda then narrated the line in some NFL Films footage: “They appear on television so often that their faces are as familiar to the public as presidents and movie stars. They are the Dallas Cowboys. America’s Team.”

Hey I'm trying to keep my humor up. I got t-boned by a lady going way too fast as I was sitting in the left turn lane yesterday...

Lucky I didn't break anything, but I'm sore as hell right now...

I'm sure Lakers and Chiefs both winning softened the blow, glad you're ok!!

LOL....Thanks for you contributions all these years. It's football fans like you that keeps Dallas NFL relevant. :mad2:
Well, it certainly Isn’t the play on the field over the past 20 + years. So for that, I bid you a sincere “your welcome”. :suds:
