BB needs more depth at WR with Dola out for the last four regular season games. Smartest move would be to activate DeAndrew White from the PS (release DJ Foster to create a roster spot). White also has experience returning punts and kickoffs. I don't want to see either Amendola or Edelman returning punts any more.

Yeah Cyrus Jones had expirence as well. That hasn't worked out too well. I'm with you no more Dola or Edelman back there. But you know BB will have them out there. Ball control is too important to him. Please please find a returner in the draft or thru FA next year:hope:
You would think as much as BB preaches taking care of the ball he'd find one somewhere? He can't like putting either of them back there either? The past few weeks I was kind of ok with Dola being back there just because he is sure handed, can break one and was only contributing a small amount. But now with Dola out no way can NE afford to lose Edelman.

Yeah this is tough one. I expect more Lewis and White on the field at the same time when it calls for 4/5 WR. Thank God Mitchell has showed up when he did.

White may be the choice for punt returns. He has good hands and can run.

Time to say good-bye to Danny. He hasn't had an injury free year since he's been here. He's absolutely done for the remainder of the regular season. I don't want to see him back trying to break off rust in the playoffs.

I think it's time for rookie Devin Lucien 6'2" 200# to step up and take Danny's job away.

Lucien at 6'2", Hogan at 6'3" and Mitchell at 6'3" gives the Patriots a big and fast WR corps.

Never wanted to see Amendola nor Edelman returning kicks and or punts... To easy for them to get hurt. Granted it's pretty much the same possibly getting hurt be a WR but still... Why take an unnecessary risk?

If not Lucien my first choice why not bring Wes in for a looksy? Reunite TB12 with his old binky. Imagine the outrage if Wes came back and helped them win a SB? Of course if a bug going to fast hits him in the head he's likely done forever.

Stupid idea. Wes doesn't need another concussion.

Thanks Cyrus...

Cyrus better figure out how to field a punt cleanly.

Lucien was one of my sleeper picks in the draft this year. I hope you are right that he is next up. Mitchell is coming into his own already and we still have Edelman and Bennett. Thats not terrible. If Lucien becomes the 3rd WR then Amendola can just return kicks when he comes back.

Looks like Foster has been taking reps as a WR, he played there his SR season in college. Not sure why they would not bring up Lucien, maybe the "coming of PS and playing right away like Harper (dropped punt)" has scared BB some. Also makes me think Slater will be the 4/5th WR when healthy. I think well be good with JE11, Hogan, MM, White/Foster/Lewis and Slater....Jesus, imagine trying to cover JE, White, Lewis, Hogan, MM on the field all at once. That is a ton of speed. Not sure how fast Balt Def is this yr, but that would create some miss matches.

Who TF is Griff Whalen???

BTW...Didn't Blount return kicks/punts for a while?
I seem to remember him bowling people over while doing returns during his first stint with the Pats.

You might think witb a name like Griff he'd be a baller? But guess again. He was the snapper on tbe Colts swinging gate play that failed miserably against NE last season. Intel for BB later?

He can return punts and ko's so there is that. Good signing if he can just catch the ball and not turn it over. His run times at his pro day were between 4.4 and 4.6

Lucien is still not ready for the NFL. We'll see him next year. Might not take Danny's job as Danny is cheap.
Somebody said "cut DJ Foster" Not a good idea. This kid can step in now and has a high ceiling IMHO.....
