We won't pay him that. We won't pay half that.
Even before the injury I think Danny knew he'd have to do some kind of a restructure if he was going to be Patriot next year.

I like him as a player/teammate unfortunately he hasn't lived up to his potential.

It will be interesting to see what happens with him both on his contract side or if when he goes to a new team how he fairs?

Not sure if I agree that Danny hasn't lived up to his potential. He has been very reliable when not hurt.
When not hurt, he has been lightly used. He has been an excellent receiver although Edelman is getting the plays.

Again, I like him. Glad we had him but his ceiling/expectation was a lot higher coming from the Rams. He's had his ups and downs whether healthy or not. If he was more productive (whether that's a chemistry or route running thing) TB would've found him more with all the other injuries the team had.
Not a knock on him. He's come up with some big plays for NE. I hope he stays but it would likely be as a #4 on a healthy Pats team. He'd be tge best # 4 WR in the league hands down. Combined with his return ability. That's why I feel it would need to be a very team friendly deal.

Amendola's replacements could be David Lucien or JJ Foster. We don't know yet but they both are young, cheap, and have a high ceiling.....

That's what I'm thinking. That and who knows what BB decides to do during the draft. Can Lucien or Foster replace Bolden on STs? We already have Slater basically occupying a ST only player. We don't need two. My wish for next year niether Bolden nor Logan Ryan are on the Pats.

I know you hate Logan but he is not the problem. THAT FREAKING ZONE IS THE PROBLEM!
QB's are picking us apart in the Zone. Come up with a better plan and this defense will play better.....

Logan has sucked since he's been here. It doesn't matter what coverage they were in. He's one of BBs Rutger players that the master mind won't admit he screwed up on. He's an UFA after this season let him go. You can find anyone in the draft that can turn and run downfield chasing a receiver.
