Am I the only one rooting for the 49ers to beat the Panthers?

I would love to host the 49ers in the NFC Championship game. I feel like the Panthers are the better of the two teams so I would rather host the 49ers.

Not to mention the shit storm that would ensue if we beat down the 49ers to get into the Superbowl, nothing could be better than that.

Hmm, I didn't even go to the board. It's annoying that they have their own thread for this game. That being said, the OP is being disingenuous about the better team.

I was torn on who to root for, obviously home would be nice but I feel like we need to go to Seattle and win to earn that respect. Either way, good game and hopefully Niners get to play in Seattle next weekend.

I'll take Panthers. 49ers have been dangerous since the return of Crabtree. I have zero faith that Cam does anything in Seattle and the Panthers haven't been to Seattle since the 12th man got ridiculous (pretty sure anyway).

I think Cam is WAY over his head in Seattle whereas Colin knows what to expect and the 49ers just know us better and know what they are coming into.

I hate the 9ers and beating them in Seattle is always great, but it's about getting to the SBOWL and which team we face will give us the better odds. That right now is Carolina.

Wouldn't Kaepershit have known what to expect after first time he got destroyed in Seattle? If you use that line of thinking he would have improved in his second start in Seattle, when he actually regressed significantly.

He even looked mediocre against the Seahawks in San Francisco.
